These are the three things worth mentioning. It's still not that coincidental, although I do think its kind of cool that you noticed this.

We're talking Apples and Oranges folks:

"I don't know. I'm making this up as I go."

. . .Compared to . . .

"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Joe, have you seen Big Fat Greek Wedding?
"Apple....Orange....In the end, we all fruit" ;)

anyway, what about the bullwhip in Blues Brothers?
With the cigarrette and all?

[Jokingly] I think the correct response would be to quote Elsa's line about being blind.

And Tennessee -- Touche. That's a good come back.

Everyone knows the Blues Brothers are gay, and Indiana is straight. However, it is ironic that Indiana Jones is very similar to Spiderman
Spiderman's Mask - Indy's Hat
Spiderman's Tunic - Indy's shirt
Spiderman's Pants - Indy's pants
Spiderman's Webbing - Indy's Whip
Spiderman's Spider Sense - Indy's ability to pass the 3 trials to the holy grail
Its all the same....
They might as well as called him Indiana Spider.
We should all try to connect other people to Indiana
Also Indiana Jones looks exactly like Han Solo, I don't think anyone else has pointed this out

What do you mean their gay. Straight quote by Elwood(Dan Aykroyd) to girl at gas station

" There's a motel up the road, maybe we could, say, "meet" around midnight."

Also, Jake had a fiance (who tries to kill him through the entire movie)

What do you mean

Ever hear the phrase 'Now you're cooking!'? Well 'now you're cooking with grease' is the original colloquialism.

Okay, I did a little more homework on "cooking with gas"...

Cooking with gas:
Now you're really getting somewhere or making progress

Apparently this idiom originated when gas stoves were first introduced. Cooking with gas was WAY easier for people who had been used to cooking with wood or coal.

(If you can believe what's on the internet... )

That's sounds correct and 'cooking with gas' may well predate 'cooking with grease'. . . .I take 'cooking with grease' to be a more colorful variant -- recognizing that it takes more skill to cook with grease and that grease yields a tastier (superior) product.

...And bypass surgery. :)

All of the slight similarities doesn't really interest me, like everyone wears clothes, but the black tie, and whip, and hat. That is really similar.
And the Spider web attaches to things just like the whip does, although everything else about spiderman is completely different.
