Hey all,
Right before Jerry left for Russia, he delivered his current MKVII bag replica to me. Just beautiful right out of the box and LIGHTNING quick delivery too!
Sure, the stitching details aren't EXACTLY the same, but hey, the fact is my vintage bag had already needed restitching, and one of the snaps failed a few years ago. It was time to let the old girl retire, and this WPG bag is a great sub.
I have started to actually prefer repros to originals because I have this penchant for preserving history and antiques.
Anyway, a quick flip and the Keppler strap was on the other bag in seconds. No more wear and tear for the ol' W&G.
Oh, and by the way - you'll need a new strap - the WPG strap is, um, well... Ugh.
EDIT: Actually, the strap isn't THAT bad, once you fiddle with it.

Sure Luisiana,
For starters, the left one is the WPG and the right is the vintage W&G. Anyway, the WPG has thicker strap-rings - but just barely. Also from what I can tell, this current offering has all the internal compartments completely replicated, unlike the first generation WPG which was missing one compartment.
The vent caps on the bottom of the bag are slightly different at the edges, but what a minor detail! The bag, is of course, too green, but then even the vinatge ones were back when they were new! A little wear and tear and fading and it should look perfect.
Other than that, everything seriously seems the same! This is one awesome replica!

APO is, I believe, a designation for any post office operating on an American military base outside the United States.
I don't know exactly what the acronym means as far as the letters, but that's the jist.

NO, no - They have no plans to retire such a successful product. I meant that my WPG retired my vintage MKVII.
Not to worry.

Honestly, doubtful. Unless they have some kind of international shipping policy. If you need help with this - PM me. We'll work something out.
