I've got an interesting idea for a thread.

Before the internet, if you were an Indy fan, how did you spend your time being a fan?

Maybe you watched the movies every week. Perhaps you spend your time gathering together gear, or maybe you got hold of the Indy novels and immersed yourself into his world of adventure.

I myself spent many hours watching the Indy trilogy on VHS and was thrilled when I got the trilogy, in widescreen, together with the Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark! :D

I collected all kinds of Indy memorabilia, from novel's to RPG's, from Dark Horse comics to books based on the movie. I must have watched the Indy movies at least a couple of hundred times in those years before the internet. :)

How about you guys?

In the '80s, it was the Marvel comic books, Starlog magazine for the Indy
articles, anticipating the upcoming films, the arcade & home video games,
the occasional Find-Your-Fate book and, of course, the movies on VHS.
Also, seeking out other Indy-type films was always fun for me. :)
