View Full Version : Indy4 Prediction Contest?

The fan fiction contest is ideal for the creative sort, but what about us gambling types? Fans here have processed years of sequel news and rumors. We've pondered what is likeliest and who is most credible. Now, when there is still almost nothing solid to go on, we could submit our predictions to be ranked by all after opening day.
No need for confidentiality. No harm in plagiarism. In sports, you bet on who you think will win, not who you want to win, and the results always indicate a fairly obvious winner. I'm suggesting one detailed synopsis per person, 1000 words or less. The last submissions would have to be in before production ramps up. Prizes for being most prophetic? Heh, I'd enter for the glory alone.
Contest judges, what say you?

odds on THIS (http://raven.theraider.net/showthread.php?t=4601) thread are probably 1:2. That's how strong this plot is. ;)

I just wrote this on another thread, but . . .
Keep two things we know for sure (the only 2 things we know for sure right now, and who is to say that they will not change)
All the women are in this movie, and there are supernatural elements here, think of something that has to do with dead people, the river styx anyone?

I don't know about the river Styx, but I'll bet you 10:1 there'll be at least one "old age" joke thrown at Indy! Of course, then he'll use the rest of the movie to prove that he can still kick major a$$!!
Not to be picky-icky, but shouldn't this thread be in the IJ4 forum?

I hope they don't hang with the christin (hell I don't even know how to spell it) stuff, way too many other cool religions for Indy to go after, What about a ood Voodoo theme?

In lieu of such a contest, I suppose we could just quote ourselves and eachother's previous posts as the details leak out.
Mods, save the old threads for a spate of boasting!

Except for her recent aneroxia. I understand that her and Calista are competeing for the most paper thin waif award. I thought someone also mentioned just such a rumor about Calista not too long ago too.....

Even though it was based on insider information, I'd have to give it to this October 2007 (http://raven.theraider.net/showpost.php?p=245287) plot summary by agentsands77 (spotted by misnomer).

You know, funny I was going to have a look at that thread the other day to see if anyone said Cate Blanchett. Oh wait, that thread was my very first post on the Raven! Who would have thought a prediction would come true in that thread!
You were the second winner. You guessed 1957 to be the year even though you were joking. I can't remember which thread it was in though.

A somewhat accurate guess of my own (http://raven.theraider.net/showpost.php?p=205909), 07-30-2006:
"[Marion] discovers she got pregnant a month ago on the Bantu Wind. It doesn't phase the new boyfriend. Would she tell Indy? Suppose she doesn't. They marry, he goes to war..."
