What do thay meen by "gas"?

The gun takes a special kind of gas (I think it's called green gas?) to enable it to fire the bbs. I think in these revolver kinds of guns, you put the bb in the end of a speical empty shell casing and the gas goes in the opposite end and when you fire the gun, it releases the gas and fires the bb.

Exactly right. The casings are pretty much modified bullet casings and I just bought the gun and I'm gonna change the grips for S&W ones
