Apparently Global Marine has begun operations to recover Drakes's treasure off Equador. Mind you, that doesn't necessarily mean they've discovered Drake's treasure. Pink sheet stocks are always a gamble.

There are also indications that there has been a major discovery on Selkirk's (Robinson Crusoe) Island.

It will be interesting to see how the Global Marine operation develops. Something to keep tabs on. Not being much of a maritime historian (beyond a certain fascination with the Mary Celeste), I wasn't aware of the story of the RMS Republic, or its connection to the Titanic disaster. Very intriguing.
