I was just wondering if there were any other Indy fans that we fans of Rocket Robin Hood. Labelled as one of the worst cartoons ever, I LOVED the show growing up and still do to this day. I am having trouble finding it on DVD.
Anybody else out there?

In the mid '70s, CTV showed reruns everyday right before "The Flintstones" at
noon and we were forced to watch it at lunch in elementary school. Even back
then we knew it was terrible. Today, the show is in the *so bad it's good*
category and the music is classic.
Here's a link to a streaming audio of the opening theme:

About 10 years ago, this friend of mine (from Winnipeg and who might be back
there now) had a copy of the entire series on 2 VHS tapes. He kept insisting
that Giles, the cook, swears and says F*** during an episode and I always
refused to believe him until he showed me the part. It happens when Giles
is having trouble piloting a spaceship all by himself and it's as clear as a bell!
"Rocket Robin Hood" was a Canadian production but financed by Krantz Films
("Spiderman") in New York. Ralph Bakshi became the animation producer and
moved to Toronto for awhile and you can notice a difference in the style.
Many scenes were eventually used throughout "Spiderman", especially from
the RRH episode, "Dementia 5". The later installments are a psychedelic trip.
Not sure about it being available on DVD but, a few years ago, Teletoon was
showing it every night of the week. Did you miss out on that? I recorded a
few episodes for nostalgic purposes. Don't know how widely the series was
aired outside of Canada...

I use to watch it at the same time on CTV. I don't get teletoon so I was unable to watch it latlely...but suprisingly I went to the US for a music festival in Minnesoda and it was airing at the Hotel on a cartoon channel...I was suprised because I know it was a Canadian production.
I would like to know where your friend found them on VHS, gotta get em.
