I'm Back! Again!

Hey Raven, It's been awhile since I've posted anything but Iv'e been having some problems lately. I had had an operation done on my leg and I've been in the hospital for the past few weeks. I suffered a bad injury in a hockey game two weeks ago. I'm okay and back in action! (Not moving action though!);)

And also what is the biggest time period after wich someone can say "I am back". Becouse there is no sence in saying that if the response is going to be "Who to hell are you?"

It depends on the popularity of the individual. If he is extremely well known on the raven, then if he is away for a week, the frequent posters will begin to miss him.

Also, people will miss the person more if s/he posts a thread saying they will be away for a length of time, and gives a good reason.

People tend to remember a few posts in particular by all main posters, and based on if they found their posts informative, witty, or otherwise nicely put, they will tend to be very sympathetic to the person when they read an I'm going away for a (Blank). And they will recall one post in particular that they enjoyed by this poster, and say

"We will miss you".

And then, the natural chain of events is for another to read "We Will Miss You" And he searches his mind for all information on this person, and recalls a witty post and decides to post in the going away thread:

"I Will Too"

So the complex psycological process continues until the desired (or undesired) outcome is acquired.
