The seahawks. Because if the Steelers weren't the underdogs, it would be boring when the inevitably win.

I have to elieve that the Steelers will win the Superbowl, but of course, nothign is certain. The Steelers have dominated on both sides of the ball for two weeks, against two of the three best teams inthe NFL (Colts and Broncos, if only we had a shot at the Pats this would be sweeter). We do not know how the Seahawks will defend against us. Will they stack 9 or not? I think their O line is better than both the Colts and Broncos, so i do not think Porter and Company will be as productive on getting to their QB. On the other hand, I think their secondary is a worse than the Broncos and Colts, and we may have luck passing on them, or they will pay back and we will run up the gut. As long as the Steelers keep the level of play up over the off week, it should finally cover the thumb!

There are several factors that make me believe that this will be the Steelers year...

1. They are the first 6 seed to reach the Super Bowl
2. They are the first team to beat the #1, #2, #3 seeds in their conference
3. They are coming off an AFC Championship loss from last year

Not taking anything away from the Seahawks, they are a great team. However, the NFC was clearly down this year. The Eagles of last year were a much more complete team. I just don't see the Seahawks shutting down the Steelers running game nor do I see the Seahawks offense passing the ball on the Steelers secondary.

Final score...

Steelers 27
Seahawks 13

Yeah Baby! I like what I am reading . . .

Interesting Matchup:

(i) Old-School-Since-The-Big-Depression-Family-Ownership VERSUS Microsoft-Billionaire-Celebrity-Owner

(ii) Humble-local-boy-does-good-Head-Coach VERSUS Biggest-Ego-Head-Coach-And-All-Around-Control-Freak

I could go on but picking a team to root for has never been easier . . . .

The Steelers have had only 2 head coaches since 1968 (longer than the Seagulls have existed) The Seahags have 6 head coaches since 1976. hmmmm

note: (I still am not sure what to call this team as there are so many options, Seahogs, Seagulls, SeagAls, Seahags (think old Popeye cartoons here), oceanponies, a$$pirates, . . . the chocies

GO STEELERS

Which team should I root for in this game?

Reason for me to root for the Seattle Seahawks:
Some family friends of mine live in Seattle, while no one I know lives in (or is from) Pittsburgh.

Reason for me to root for the Pittsburgh Steelers:
Seattle is a divisional rival of my San Francisco 49ers.

I think both teams are evenly matched, at least in many areas. I just want an exciting game and not some boring 42-0 blowout. I can't wait until next week.:)

I'm definitely rooting for the Steelers. East coast! Bill Cohwer tough defense yadda yadda...I'm from Detroit and everybody is pro Steelers, they're practically going to have home field advantage. Pittsburgh and Detroit and similar mided cities, and Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.

And don't forget our outstanding linebacker Larry Foote is also from Detriot!

Bettis is definately plus for the Steelers. Heck, it takes about five players to bring him down!:)

Well I'm really glad the Steelers won.
Especially after the humiliating defeat to the Cowboys in their last Super Bowl...

Has there been any discussion about the Fedoras and suits many of the Steelers wore to Ford's Field?

The guys were seriously tricked out.
