View Full Version : Which was the best 15-1-0 team in NFL history thus far?

      Ever since the NFL switched from 14 games to 16 games for the 1978 regular season, no team has ever gone undefeated.

      However, as of the end of the 2005 NFL season, four teams have come one game shy of that elusive undefeated mark. Which of the four listed teams was the best of them... and why? :)

All kidding aside, I do liek the Steelers best but I would have to say the Bears, with the second greatest defense ever! An argument could be made for the 49ers, but I think that without the SB ring at the end fo season even a 15-1 season is worth nothing!

The Patriots beat the Steelers
The Steelers beat the 49ers
The Dolphins beat the Bear (fitting Irony here)
Who beat the Vikings, the Buc's? and they wento to win the SB that year, correct?

AAn argument could be made for the 49ers, but I think that without the SB ring at the end fo season even a 15-1 season is worth nothing!

      Neither the 1998 Vikings nor the 2004 Steelers made it to the Super Bowl.

      The 2002 Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, but they went 12-4-0 that regular season.

No, I know that, that is why I have to say that either the Bears or the 49ers are the only ture answers. I do like the Steelers over thiose other teams though. Jim McMhan or what ever his name was what a dooF!

Gotta love the 49ers. Actually my girlfriend sold her last horses to Joe Montana and his kids. He lives a bit away from me now.
