Temple of Doom PG?

I was reading the back of my ToD DVD Case and it said it was PG. I thought ToD was PG-13? Did Lucas cut some things in it to get it a PG rating?

The film is PG but PG-13 was created shortly after the film came out due to its darkness and violence. By today's standards it would probably be PG-13 and Last Crusade received that rating.

Yep. In a way, ToD and Gremlins gave birth to the PG-13 rating.

Yes, We are such big fans of the movie that forced the MPAA to make the PG-13 rating, that we joined a forum to talk about it. ;)
