I want Short Round!

Speilberg said that there will probably be cameo's in it. Kate Capshaw being Speilberg's wife, i'm pretty sure she will be in it. But will Ke huay Quan be in it? What is he doing these days? I saw him do the Goonies DVD commentary last year. He looks great. He's about 30 now? I hope they bring him in and explain what happend to him in Raiders. If Indiana was like a father to him and his entire family was killed when the Japenese bombed Shangai, then where was he in Raiders or Crusade? I want to know I must know! I hope Speilberg and Lucas explain this and don't sweep it under the rug. Or I'm going to have to start accusing some that their's some discrimination about this character going on and anything goes!

Does anyone know or can explain this in some books or t.v show?:confused:

I think the best thing that could happen for Indy 4 is to have Short Round in it.

I feel the same way. I don't mind having previous characters come back as long as it's not just for old time's sake and cameos. I really want them to add something to the story instead of just popping up so the audience will go, "Oh yeah, I remember them!"

I definitley want some explanation as to why this character was not seen in Raiders or Crusade. I mean Indiana was like a father to short round. I checked the official Indiana Jones website and I found out his real name is Wan Li and he does take him to America. But does he put him in some boarding school or something? Maybe because he is a minor and Indiana is unmarried and travels alot. But growing up in America in the 1940's with discrimination toward people of asian decent, to protect Wan I think he puts him in a private school.

Personally I want to see these characters to have a scene with each other and talk about the Temple of Doom times. Then I want to know what Wan did after finishing High school in America. Did he go to college and maybe take on Archeaology..what does he do for a living? did he find a girl of his own and get married..Man..I hope Steven and George don't forget this memorable character. If Steven said he might have kate capshaw in it for a cameo THEN he has to have short round and explain his final relationship to Indiana jones!

Personally my take on the scene with Short Round and Indy will go like this
(Pss Steven or George if your reading please put this in your script since your still probably writing your script)

This scene takes place in a church at Indy's wedding or in his home drinking tea or at the college.

SR: (still in chinese accent) "So dr. Jones..you finally got married to your one true love..."

Indy, (grins foolishly) "thanks Wan....well I have to settle down sometime...can't go gallavanting around the world looking for relics forever!"

SR: (laughs) "Whatever you say Dr. Jones..anyway..thanks for leaving me in a boarding school...while you took off on many of your adventures..even during the summer time escpecially the time you went to Petra to find the holy grail," (retorts in anger)

Indy aghast, surprised and shocked all of a suddent Wan is talking to him like this not with respect like he's used to " But..but..Wan..it was too dangerous..your studies..boy.."

"ahh..studies..shmuddies...", (throws his baseball hat in anger) " you know me I was a crappy student...I flunked fractions..I work as a cook in a chinese restaurant!"

Indy " Shorty..er..wan..c'mon..hey man i'm sorry..let me make it up to ya..I'm planning on going on a dig with some of my students next semester..come and join me..."

mollified a bit "o.k...o.k..sorry dr. jones.."

grabs shorty by the shoulder, "why didn't you tell me about how you felt sooner.."

sr " i guess i was never in any of the sequels..., " stares at the camera angrily and gives a fiinger to George and Steven.

Indy is in class teaching when the bell rings and all the students go rushing out the room like thay always do but one student stops and places an apple on Doc. Joneses desk and then continues on.

Indy picks up the apple and says "Thanks Shorty."
