When it comes to characters Harrison Ford just fits in both catagories perfectly. But who should he be known as most famous for? Indiana Jones or Han Solo? Or both?:D

Indy of course.

Crazy question !
On this forum who will answer Han ?

Indy is a better character, more human, more personal.
Harrison say that Indy is more interresting character.
He put some of his humour in Indiana Jones.

As much as I love Harrison as Han Solo, I can honestly say that Indy is the greatest character that Harrison has played, and indeed the greatest character in the history of film. :D

Both characters are great but I've got to go with Indy, of course.:whip:

Yes, but it is always applicable! Way too much time wasted talking about Star Wars

No offense, but I don't see the value in this thread. Just thought I'd let you know, considering no one else online with me right now...

The Toht sentence is meant to be a bit of good natured, gentle chiding.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of an Indy snob -- it's the superior franchise -- but I wonder at times if for some the Indiana Jones franchise is just the bastard stepchild of the George Lucas Universe.

Sure there's many apt Indy/Stars Wars topics -- but I don't like feeling like I'm living in a shadow.

I would have said Han, if he wasn't so "whipped" by the time Jedi rolled around.

What a blowout this poll is gonna be. That's like asking what was Bobby Deniro's greatest role, Frankenstein or Max Cady...Duh!!!

I am not going to vote here. How the hell do you expect anyone here to be even slightly objective.

Seriously. Han Solo was a character along with many others in "Star Wars". Indiana Jones is the one and only focus for the most part in those films. This poll is a joke. Someone should vote for "Han" though, just to mix it up a bit.

Hey, if someone voted for the "who's Indy?" option in the Brainwashed! thread then there's no telling what could happen here.;)

Well, as a college female, both Indy AND Han are hot in my book, but yeah, Harrison's signature role is Indy, 'nuf said! :whip:

But yeah, Han Solo was far sexier than Luke! I remember the first time I saw ESB (the 1997 Special Edition)...I was 11, and I was like "Man, Princess Leia is sooo lucky!"

De Niro was an excellent monster -- only good thing about the film. Branagh was right to playthe good doctor but he shouldn't have been the guy making that film.

No offense, but I was just wondering if English is your first language? Of course I'm by no means good enough to answer your question for the junior here as I have no idea either, but would that be so special if it wasn't? As we do have plenty of people here who don't speak English as their first one, me included.

And we do have two official languages after all, English and bad English. ;)

And oh yeah, Indy and Han are both sissies... Tommy Lillard is the ultimate tough guy!

I was an Indy fan before I ever saw SW. I think I was so fond of Han when I was younger because he wasn't Han Solo to me, he was Indy! You gotta give credit where credit is due though. Ford does an amazing job as Han, especially in ESB. I felt his character was "off" in RotJ. He wasn't as cold as he was in the first two; he was too soft. I dunno.

Indy is the character that made Ford an action superstar in Hollywood. I bet he wouldn't have been in half as many great films without having previously been Indy.

Let's put this that way: you guys like INDIANA JONES or HARRISON FORD???
Mr. Ford does a great job giving life to Indy on the big screen, but is the idea of INDIANA JONES or the actor behind?
Sure, Mr. Ford is maybe the best choise to play Indy, this role match him perfectly, but, I ask again Indiana Jones or Harrison Ford? You like the movie only for Harrsion Ford, or the idea of Indy in general?? (like the young Indy chronicles on TV)

I prefer Han as I find him to be more multifaceted than Indy.
