for my money, the raiders march is the best movie tune ever! But which of the three Indy Movies do you think has the best music?
I think John Williams did a great job on all three - but I'd have to say Last Crusade - theres some really nice bits of music that add to the father/son relationship and I love the soundtrack to the motorcycle chase as they leave the castle. What d'you think?:whip:

I agree with the Last Crusade, overall its very catching. But I also love the Raiders March which is in all three movies but mostly ROTLA- and I also like the Arc of the Convenant music a lot.

I am a raiders fan, the basket chase is probably my favorite next to the March.

I also think Raiders was hands down the best. Although, there were decent scores for both ToD and LC as well.

Raiders March rulez. I really like The "Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra" from LC. Also the music in the "Spike Room" in ToD is nicely terrifying for me. I love the gradation in there.

also the music under the tank scene in LC is great, really building up the momentum, helping to create probably the best sequence in the film, and maybe even the trilogy

Definitely. I think it's the longest continuous fight Indy has to take part and the music just goes with him. My fedora off my head before Mr. Williams.

williams is indeed the greatest movie composer, no question! i think i read somewhere once that LC only has about 5 minutes that doesn't contain any soundtrack - pretty impressive stuff, especially as williams doesn't just repeat the raiders march over and over, but comes up with new stuff for pretty much every sequence

I'm going with LC because it has my favorite song "Belly of the steal beast" :)

RotLA. It is the most entertaining all-around to listen to.
However, for atmosphere RotLA and LC are tied with ToD trailing close behind.
LC has some of my favorite songs to listen to, but Raiders wins out on being generally more entertaining across the board.

I think all three films have a great soundtrack but TLC is probably my favorite.

ROTLA by a mile! I have both the Japanese import CD as well as the DCC expanded edition. I listen to both, but I still find myself listening to the shorter CD. I grew up with the old LP (received that X-Mas '81) and John Williams was always adept at editing an album for the best possible listening experience. I say this because of my undying love for the edited version of "Desert Chase." The expanded version of the album has extra music just before the huge action part (you all know what I mean) that's about 3:30 into the cue. Instead of cutting directly to the climactic action part, the music sort of lets me down because I'm so accustomed to the exciting original LP version. However, on the plus side of the expanded edition, the presence of "Journey To Nepal" was sorely missed on the LP.

The Raiders soundtrack is the best, but Temple of Doom is pretty good too. The tracks "Slave Children's Crusade" and "Mine Cart Chase" are pretty good.
Of course, the Raiders March is the best!:D

I love their soundtracks equally. Raiders has the sorta mysterious Ark theme and the good romantic theme. Temple of Doom just has some amazing tracks. I hum Temple the most for sure. Now I love Crusade because the one track they play when talking about the grail has a sense of nobility to it. The father and son theme is rather touching as well.

I'd have to say Raiders of the Lost Ark although they are all great. The Raiders March and The Ark theme are great.

Raiders has the best soundtrack IMO, with Temple a close second, and Last Crusade third.
