2008 May Test Clinton’s Bond With McCain
New York Times - July 29, 2006
WASHINGTON, July 28 — Two summers ago, on a Congressional trip to Estonia, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton astonished her traveling companions by suggesting that the group do what one does in the Baltics: hold a vodka-drinking contest.
Delighted, the leader of the delegation, Senator John McCain, quickly agreed. The after-dinner drinks went so well — memories are a bit hazy on who drank how much — that Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican, later told people how unexpectedly engaging he found Mrs. Clinton to be.

The debates would be interesting.

I do like that story a lot, as it's very humanizing, but whether there'll be a rematch grows more and more doubtful.

This is why I can't wait to vote Obama in a couple of weeks. Together, Clinton & McCain represent 30 years of business-as-usual politics in this country, and I don't care who is the next President, as long as it is someone from outside the old insiders club.

Yeah, I know. Just file this (and this (http://raven.theraider.net/showpost.php?p=256566)) under "life imitates Raiders."

I'm a McCainiac. Enough of these boomer presidents, time for a new (silent) generation!
