Does it bother you that Indy and Marion aren't seen escaping the island with the Ark in Raiders??? And how do you think they did??? I think Indy used his disguise, pretended to take Marion prisoner and boxed up the Ark, and pretended to take it to Berlin and instead, takes a plane and goes to America. Well, a bit farfetched but that's the best I can think up at the moment. Any thoughts???

Actually, its not that far fetched. I read a book in which a very similar thing happend minus the ark, based on a true story by the way.

I've never bothered to stretch my brain with it. Always thought that there was no more nazis on the island as the Ark swiped 'em all off...

That's pretty much what I figured. Indy then used whatever radio equipment was there to contact an American ship and somebody came and picked them up.

Never really seemed like any sort of mystery to me.

I always sorta figured that Katanga followed the sub, and was waiting offshore for a 'signal'...
