If you would meet all three in real life wich one would you choose? Beware that all the women would come with their movie personalities.
For a long time I thought it would be Marion but I saw the TV movie King Solomons Mines and that changed my mind a little bit. In that movie Alison Doody looks preaty fine. And it is made 15 years after TLC.
I am gonna be shallow and say Elsa.

If we're talking about movie characters, Marion by a country mile
If we're talking about the REAL LIFE Actors, then *shrug* I couldn't care less.... Though I'd probably still go with Karen Allen....
Mostly to talk about Starman... Or The Sandlot....

I see that you are all mostly for Marion. But what is wrong with Elsa. And I do not mean it from physical point of view. She would be a good person to be around. She is smart, dedicated to her work, passionate. I would like a girl like that any day.
Marion is great but what would happen if night after night she would drink more than you could. In Serbia that is something to be ashamed of (for men).

I'll say Marion. She's in my favorite movie. Her character is well developed, and perfectly played. She and Indy have a intriguing past and great connection, and they love each other. She's shrewd, yet trustworthy. She's fun and she owns the Raven. I would love to sit down and chat with Karen. She adds alot to my of enjoyment of Raiders, and has great acting range.

At least in the film's portrayal of them, Marion has the most personality. She's a little rough around the edges, but that can add to her charm.

My opinion is based on the movies and nothing else. And in the movie she seems like a good person to me. So she is opsesed with the grail. So what. If I would meet her in the real life that would be such a small thing. That would be so close to all of Ravener's opsesion with Indy IV.

I don't think she really was a "Nazi." She was working with them, yes, but so was Belloq. Each were trying to accomplish their own selfish goals and were merely using the Nazis as a tool for that.
"We both wanted the grail. I would have done anything to get it, you would have done the same."
"I care about the grail, not the swastika!"
That being said, not everyone in Austria and Germany were Nazis. There were many many people living in those areas who did not agree with national socialism. The same can be said for the USSR. Not everyone there was a communist. There is little that one can do to justify being a member of the Nazi party. Fighting for Germany under the Whermacht is one thing. There were outspoken supporters of Germany who were decidedly against the Third Reich.
For Example, Clemens August Graf von Galen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clemens_August_Graf_von_Galen).

I don't think so.True...but she's also an opportunistic fortune hunter. Her Nazism, agreed, was coincidental, but it displayed how far she'd go to get what she wanted. So I reiterate that I wouldn't want to have to watch my back.

People, stop saying Elsa was a Nazi. She never was. She used the Nazis to get closer to the Grail, like Donovan did (although for a different purpose). It just so happened that she was Austrian, fair and blue-eyed, which of course made it easier for the Nazis to sympathize with her... I thought they made it clear in the movie that she never really was a Nazi, hence the Rallye scene where she's the only one sad and depressed. She's more of a Nazi tag-along, with a secret agenda.

I always had it bad for Elsa, but there are moments in Raiders where Marion is just sooo...
You know it's funny, but the first girl I ever developed a major crush on reminded me of Marion. (We're talking elementary school here.) Of course, I didn't realize that at the time, but looking back, it's painfully obvious.
And over the years, there have been other women who have as well. Not always from a physical standpoint- more of a general vibe. So basically, Raiders really ****ed me up on many, many levels.

Ghostwriter Shatner resurrected Kirk, and Lucas "considered adding a shot where Fett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boba_Fett) escapes the Sarlacc" for the DVD. Are these the fanboys you're talking about?

Lucas "considered adding a shot where Fett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boba_Fett) escapes the Sarlacc" for the DVD.
Not to mention, the very fact that Jango Fett even exists in the prequel trilogy has to be attributed directly to the fans. After all, this (Boba) was a character that Lucas thought so little of, that he killed him off with a burp joke. If it wasn't for his cult following, I don't think he (or his story) would have been included at all.

The bird in 'Raiders' was super hot in a timeless, spirited and classically pretty way
The bird in 'Temple' was ugly in a typically mid '80s annoying hair, make up and attitude way. Anybody else watched that interview with Spielberg on the extras disc and not wanted to punch his face in repeatedly when he smugly reveals he ended up marrying her?
The bird in 'Crusade' was alright for a blonde, but if i got anywhere near her, the mental image of her shagging Sean Connery would put the kybosh on any fun. Nazi uniform quite kinky though all the same.
I predict the bird in 'Indy IV' will be either ridiculously, comically too young for Ford (see 'Firewall' for chewing-knuckle example, or real life for that matter) or of the sameish age, in which case I'm gonna be needing a big big box of popcorn to hold my vomit. Smart money however would be on one or all of the above trilogy birds looking varying degrees worse than they did at the time. Apart from the middle bird, who just needs to keep her mouth shut and the hairspray on the shelf to be an improvement.
Something just popped into my mind that hasn't exactly been discussed here.
Yes, we can put those women in some order and Willie certainly is the worst of the bunch in the eyes of many... but we're using our own, modern standards.
So... how attractive they would be to someone who's grown in the early 20th century? Let's use the 30s standards, not the modern ones.

My great-grandfather was a Nazi, but thats just what the German army was called, much like the "doughboys." He was just a soldier, but his country's leader just happened to be messed up. Marion is my fav dispite the fact that she smokes and drinks(just because it's bad for her). She has spunk, and there is a rumor that she'll be in the new Indy Movie. :) Interesting to see how they develop her character. I also like the fact that she understands Indy and his profession, the good and bad sides. You really feel the history between them, as complicated and messy it is. As I'm a girl, I'm not going to say which one I'd be with. HAHA!
Now, if I had to choose which Indy to be with, I think it's a tie between SPF, and Harrison (If he was my age;) ). Sean is just charming and cute in his roles, but there's too few good roles to see him in. :( I remember the day I left my Trade school, one friend hugged me goodbye and said "watch LOTS of Sean Patrick Flannery for me". I wish I could. I just loathe movies with the f-word said every five seconds, or movies where you see him for five seconds. Any suggestions of good SPF movies, that won't make me  or  ?

Oh true, true - I just meant given how fickle Hollywood is about looks, you'd think she'd have been headlining movies after such a high-profile gig as Indy, plus she was a Bond villain (albeit a very slight one).
Well, this is true, although one could say that doing an Indy film and a Bond film typecasts you as only good for one sort of thing, and becoming a major actress isn't it.

Good point - I suppose one could say the same about Karen Allen and Kate Capshaw, both very attractive, neither of whom went on to become Angelina Jolie-style famous.
Hmmm - never occurred to me 'Indy Girls' might have the same career trap as Bond Girls, but that makes a certain sense, yeah.

I personally would vote for Marion for a longer relationship. I like to be good buddies with my girlfriend. Of course Elsa looks absolutely great and is also intelligent- so shed be my second...maybe bit too wild for me on the long run though...Willie is also actually pretty sexy tbh, but itd prefer a short affair with her..shes cute though...

Marion. Willie complained too much and was annoying and for some reason I just could'nt stand Elsa.

If I'm choosing with my heart, I pick Marion. If I'm choosing with my pants (which I too often did in days gone by...) it's Elsa in a landslide. :o

Seems I'm one of the few people who likes Willie, uh? I know she screams really much, but I guess it is normal if you think of the situations she's involved in. She is an ordinary girl, not a sort of superheroine.
Among the three, she is the sweetest. But she also has a strong personality.
And... ehr... I think she is really, really beautiful. :o Even much more than Elsa in my opinion.

I AGREEE!!! Finally a Wille-fan! I adore Willie Scott with every part of my soul! She's the most feminine and the most enchanting Indy-girl, and as you say her character is quite realistic.
She's the most sexy, far way smoother and tender than the hard-faced Elsa or Marion. And I agree: strong personality too.
She also can sing very well! ;)

Too bad she's the biggest botox addict of all three today.

Really? All the pictures I've seen of her look pretty natural. I used to think that Willie was the prettiest, but I am now leaning more towards Elsa now.

I voted for Marion but, in defence of Willie, she is the one who "grows" most in the course of the movie. In the early scenes in the jungle she seems scared of EVERYTHING, but later in the mine with the Thugs she defends herself pretty bravely for someone who (I assume) had no experience in fighting. I like the way that she becomes more courageous as the film goes on.
