Canyon refuses to quit!

Indy was about to leave the building when he heard a familiar voice.

“Jones, you simply won’t die.”

“No”, said Indy. “As a matter of fact, I refuse.”



That's bit of dialogue is taken from my second Indy novel that I wrote a few years back, and is more or less how I feel about things on this messageboard.

Some of you probably know this already, but for the past few months, I've been seriously thinking of quitting the Raven. For good.

Why? Well, Roundshort said it very well in another thread...

It is a shame when some people's attitudes and harsh posts keep other members away, there is a reason why Canyon no longer posts here, and she was never mean to anyone.

I have to admit, certain people's attitudes around here do turn me off of posting, but, for crying out loud, this place is just a messageboard. I've been here for about four years now and why the heck should I leave just because of some people's narrow minded attitudes? I figure I've got a pretty good reputation here on the Raven, so why should I have to leave just because there are some individuals out there who try to do nothing but make my life a misery?

I've gone though enough stress over the past couple of years, so to those of you who have nothing better to do than to try to make my life hell, I pity you, I really do. To those of you who are glad I'm not quitting, thanks for having me around. I apprecite it!

Some of you may be wondering what I've been up to of late. Well, I've been fiddling around with Paint Shop Pro and came up with some interesting results and I thought you guys would like to see some of my work...

I am deeply flattered for your kind words as they really mean a lot to me. :o I'm glad that I have made the decision to stay at the Raven as if I left, I would really miss you guys a great deal. I too enjoy our phone conversations and consider you also to be a great friend. ;)

I am honoured and extremely humbled to be thought of as an important person around here. To be honest with you, when I posted this thread, I didn't quite expect the response I got. :o I mean, I figured you guys would be glad that I'm not leaving, but, Gods, I really didn't expect such wonderful and kind replies. :D Violet Indy, I'm extremely flattered that you think of me as an inspiration and to all of you, am stunned by the sheer enouraging and positive comments and support that I have received from you guys. Unfortunately, we live in world where most of the time, only the negative aspects of life are concentrated on, and it's nice to be appreciated and thought of. :o

Listen "kenjati" is a verb that means to $hit and it can be loosely translated as to bull$hit. This is pronounsed similary as the word canyon.
So whatever you come up with it's gonna sound like bull$hit.

The closest yet to bull****er. Canyonster is someone who whines all the time (CH) and canyonator is similar to our word "kenjator" which means bull$hiter
