Some friendships have periods of less than friendly times. Assuming that Sallah is part of Indy 4, do you think that a chilly relationship could occur between he and Indy? Could their long friendship be endangered by pride and distrustfulness? Would such a state of their comradeship work for you as a subplot? Should this be explored at all? Might it add an interesting twist? Would you be for or against something like this between Indy and any of his circle of friends, including his lover (be it Marion, Willie, someone else?), his dad, his child, or even Short Round?

It's an interesting thought but I personally wouldn't want to see something like that. Indy and Sallah have been friends ever since they were young and Indy seems to be on good terms with most of the people he knows. He's also had disagreements with many people, including is dad, Marion and Willie. I'm not sure I would want them to play that same angle again but I guess it might work if done properly.
Perhaps he could meet someone in the film who later betrays or endangers him, a bit like Elsa did but with a different twist. There are many different possibilities here and I'm anxious to see what direction they decide to take.:)

I would not want Indy and Sallah to have a falling out. I would prefer to see this between his son or daughter than Sallah. Sound crazy, but Sallah and Indys friendship is too close, in my opinion.
