View Full Version : The Raven Interview

I always cringe when I see Lucas, Spielberg and Ford answer Indy 4 questions. They must be bored to tears finding new ways to hint at when it arrives, who's in it, and what it's about. For every published answer, there must be dozens dispensed on the street. They already know we're interested - studio beancounters have estimated profits. I always expect them to blow off steam with an answer like "Opal of the Merman Prince." Probably the only thing that sustains them is the thought of sequels people aren't asking for.

Ravenites could surely assemble 100 original Indy 4 questions for the big 3 (or their publicists) to select from. We know all the usual answers. We have no publishing deadline or pages to fill. The interview would be amusing and refreshing to all... if a bit geeky. My first:

Will unused scripts and ideas become books or comics?

If I could ask them something I wold ask the same question that I asked here many times.

Are you or have you ever been a member of the Raven bar?

If not would you come by and say what do you think about our views on Indiana Jones movies.

Will unused scripts and ideas become books or comics? That would be wise...and lucrative. I'd buy them.

And the answers would be "No" and "No".Aw, c'mon, ToJ...you don't think they'd find our stimulating conversations...stimulating?

Probably not

Good idea Moedred.

First, I would ask them for a job. "Beg" is probably a more accurate word:D

I'd also like to know if they are planning anything else down the line for Indy, such as additional movies, television shows/cartoons, interactive attractions or exercise/obstacle courses, Indiana Jones conventions, original stories & music on cd, cookbooks for chilled monkey brain:rolleyes:

I have 3 questions related to American Grafitti:

Will any cars from the movie appear in Indy 4?
What east coast university did Curt attend?
Was Bob Bolander from 'Saucer Men' related to Ron Howard's character, Steve Bolander?

How about: George: Did you really write 'Saucer Men'? I thought it was a stupid prank.

And: Why is there a copyright infringement on "Sons of Darkness"? There are plenty of Indy scripts running around without copyright infringements.

George: Did you really write 'Saucer Men'? I thought it was a stupid prank. I'm no George, but I can answer that. He didn't. It was Jeb Stuart.

Why is there a copyright infringement on "Sons of Darkness"? There are plenty of Indy scripts running around without copyright infringements. That's why. The whole script has nothing to do with LucasFilm. The infringement's there to make it seem it's the real McCoy, not some fan's handiwork (which it is).

I would ask them this:

Hands up, who's seen Firewall?

Thanks. I didn't know any of that.

Actually, page one says:
SCREENPLAY BY JEB STUART
STORY BY GEORGE LUCAS AND JEB STUART

'Saucer Men' surely sprang from George's mind.
Maybe he paid Stuart six figures just for something to read on the beach that year?
Is there 20 years of potential footage and sketches for a "Making of Indy 4" documentary?

Question - Is there going to be an opening number, as there was with Anything Goes in Temple of Doom?
