Is it just me? At the end of Temple of Doom when Indy gets on the rope bridge it seems to look different. Like a different type of film was used. Is it just me that notice this? I have noticed it on my video and DVD.

They used a different kind of camera out on the bridge with Harrison... And apparently did a crummy job of colour matching.

I wonder why they would change it. Either do all the movie with it or without it. I mean this is Spieldberg. It's not like some new director that didn't know what he was doing.

Sounds more like a Post-production choice was made not to color match...or perhaps it just wasn't possible so they settled for closest match.

But let's not pretend that SS is infallible for a second.

It appears to me that there was some partly cloudy weather that day while shooting. This was made clear by Spielberg in the documentary MAKING OF TEMPLE OF DOOM.

Weather change would then cause a change in colour sensitivity, saturation, light direction and exposure. This being the case, this wouold have been a hard thing to colour match back in the 80s with colour film, especially with using two different cameras. Every film camera's sensitivity is different from the other even if they are the same brand and the same model. I know from experience.

The close-up shots of Harrison on the bridge are also grainier in picture quality.
