Indiana Jones the animated show

I found that out very quickly. And tuned out.

I don't mind slow-paced, but not when it's branded as "Indiana Jones". It's like going to Baskin Robbins and being told they're out of ice cream but have sub-par steak.

I like you FordFan but you're treading on thin ice with me me pal

Some people like coleslaw! I don't. If you want to consume Young Indy, have at it! But if you say that the general public loved it too, I'll be there, shaking my head in the corner.

I don't care if or want the public to like it.

Keep Young Indy punk rock

Young Indiana Jones. A person is born an adventurer. It takes a lot of growing up and education of all types.

It's actually super entertaining. But we get it some people need boulders and traps for everu Indiana Jones thing.

We young Indy fans have heard this all before.

I'll take an engaging story over setpieces, but since I don't have to choose between the two, I'll take all the above. If you enjoy it, I'm happy for you.

almost every episode has a very engaging story.

Oganga being my favorite.

Maybe you haven't watched the show or only remember it from when you were 7, like you said.
I've watched it since and I disagree. I think it lacks all the oomph that made the original trilogy special.

How many people have you met in your life that own episodes of Young Indiana Jones?

comparing the show to the original trilogy will get you no where.

anecdotally? a buddy of mine. and he appreciates it. but this isn't a discussion of popularity. i'm sure we could go back and forth all day with discussing the merits of popularity and quality.

when you're ready to come around, Young Indy fans will be waiting for you. We're a different breed.

Oh man, Oganga is just... perfection. Especially with the Old Indy bookends:

And it was written by Frank friggin' Darabont, might I add!

Apples and oranges. YIJC was never intended to be like the original trilogy. KOTCS and DOD on the other hand... those are a fair comparison.

KOTCS, DOD, and Young Indy are all bonus content.

Scandals of 1920 is prob my second favorite. some of the jokes in that are just so good.

"she looks....edible..."

"she oughta, her old man owns half of the meat packing district!"

the show is not about adventuring though.
Then why in the world would they make it about Indiana Jones? I'm sure it was just done for marketing, since the show wouldn't have lasted more than a season or two with its hemorrhaging budget without that little boost.

There's one brand I like when it's the creamy one but the non-creamy is inedible.

I never watched the original Young Indiana Jones with the bookends, but I watched them in 2007 when they were released on DVD. I thought they were well made and definitely entertaining! The only bad part was I had just finished watching The Dead Zone TV series with Sean Patrick Flanery as the bad guy just a couple of months earlier. So it took me quite a few episodes to think of him as Indiana Jones and not Greg Stillson.

Edit: I just realized that this was the animated show thread. After reading the last few posts, I thought I was on the YIJ thread.
Bring on an animated Indiana Jones show! Young, 1930's or old Indy!

Because Jones' character- which Lucas created - was the perfect age to have grown up at the turn of the century when all the amazing history was happening..

also, my favorite argument against the 'why did they call it Indiana Jones crowd' is that the whole concept of meeting famous/would be famous people falls incredibly flat with just some 'no name character'.

It falls perfectly in line with Indy's luck.

We already 'know' Indiana Jones. So to have some show about meeting famous people we'd have to have some really deep back story as to why this dude seems to always be so lucky.
