The people here who really hate it are comparing it to the trilogy. If you compare it as a movie, against other movies that have come out in the past 10 years, it's a good film.
Yes, especially with the indie and exploitation films of the 70s and 80s.
ToD wasn't really a bad movie at all. It's a fun popcorn movie. The main reason why it's my least favorite Indy film is because it doesn't take place in enough different locations and I didn't care for the supporting...
Exactly. I think if Indy IV came out in the early 90's, Spielberg would have made it less tounge-in-cheek. Since then, he's made so many "serious" movies that I don't really see him making another Indy movie with the same seriousness as Raiders.
I stopped reading your posts when I realized you grouped South Park with all that crap.
Sorry, but I want to watch something that's ENTERTAINING. I don't find family-friendly "Barney and Friends" type shows that sugarcoat how the world works to be entertaining.
Why not make Indiana Jones himself the MacGruffin? He could be chased around by neo-Nazis wanting knowledge that he has on an artifact, such as the Ark or something. Then maybe Mutt can come in to help him.
Sallah should have been in place instead of Mac, with Sallah remaining a good guy. Indy was digging in Mexico when he was picked up by the Soviets so it would have made sense for him to use Sallah down there.
Oh really, when did you poll all of the casual fans? Sounds to me like you're just trying to project your opinion onto people you haven't even talked to at all.
While you're here *****ing about the movie, I'm out looking at new fedoras.
I think if you compare it to the originals, it seems like it sucks, but when you treat it as a movie by itself, compared to other movies in the past 10 years, it's not that bad at all.
