Ravener/Ravenette: Which are YOU?

Just curious. How many gents and ladies are members at this fine establishment called The Raven? Let's vote and see.

6,476, according to our stats, though presumably some of those would find these poll options lacking.

Some are named after a dog. Either Scientifically, or by Surname

Well, I'm fairly certain some of them are bots of one kind or another, and there's already one woman in this thread, so no, either way you slice it.

But beyond that: some aren't gentlemanly or ladylike, some women mightn't like the term Ravenette, and some might find just two gender options lacking.

The poll results show that THIS is why we need to discuss the Ravenite Gender Gap.

Not to mention the sticky (potted) threads, Harvey...

As Attila said, these demographics are hardly inclusive, all the same... here’s a breakdown of my audience. I was surprised because I work very hard to appeal to a broad audience. I try to engage with progressive pages as pertains women’s and LGBTQ rights (a topic I feel very passionately toward), and still, my audience primarily identifies as male.

Okay, okay-- point taken. But still, looks like there's more Raveners than Ravenettes. I knew it. This place is one big damn Hickory Farms Smoked Sausage Sampler Platter... heh. I mean, am I the only female here? Say it ain't so!

Indyologist 07-11-2018 12:54 PM

So really, how many regular female posters join us here at The Raven? I'm not gonna get mad about it if there aren't a lot. I know Stella (aka Canyon) pops in once in a while, and I'm always glad to see her, but is there anyone else? Just curious.

Thanks for the mention and the kind comment, Indyologist! :D

I'm still around. I've just celebrated seven years of living on the States, my seventh wedding anniversary and I recently passed my Citizenship test and will be attending the swearing in ceremony this week. :)

Indyologist, do you remember a gentleman by the name of Chewbacca Jones at the Finger Lakes? Well, he has been my husband for just over seven years.

Also, I passed my test a few weeks ago and yesterday I became a citizen. :D

I'll have to find the link to the rest of the photos, but here's one...
