it was between Tintin and Rich O'Connell for me, but I do love the Mummy films.

Alan Quartermain was in with a shout to, not only a legendary adventurer but he led the league of extraordinary gentlemen as well.

Who is G.Stobbart? (I know I could google it but would rather ask you.):)

Since you put P.Fogg up there I'll have to also mention Professor Lindenbrock
from "Journey to the Centre of the Earth". I'm a big Jules Verne fan.
Plus, Professor Challenger from "The Lost World"! Conan Doyle did
a couple of stories with him.

Growing up, one of my friends was into Tintin so I read a few. Great stuff!
You would love these 2 bars in Montreal. One is called L'Ile Noire (after the
Tintin book) which is a classy pub that has a few framed prints on the wall.
The other is a Tintin themed cafe/bar that is all decked out with figurines,
models and posters, etc. The interior is painted in comic book colours and
the staff wear costumes! You'd like it.

As a kid though, I really loved Asterix (who wasn't very widely known in
N. America outside of Quebec because of the French culture. Same for
Tintin, I think). So, now it's funny to see, here in Europe, how much of
a pop icon Asterix is. He's everywhere!

P.S. Hey, Paden! Another Lindenbrock fan. Welcome back!

Professor Challenger/John Roxton from Lost World were my choice. The book is awesome, never been a great movie adaption though...

those tintin bars sound cool. George Stobbart is from the broken sword games. (which are great by the way)

I was going to pick up The Sleeping Dragon at a used game store for like $5.

Worth It? And should I play the previous ones first?

BTW, I went with Nathan Drake. I'm just in awe of his game right now. Plus he's pretty handy with a gun...that is unless I'm playing along with my friend Jack Daniels...then for some reason his aim's off a bit. So actually Nathan's only as worthy an adventurer as I make him.

Quatermain is probably a better choice, but I can't get Richard Chamberlain out of my head. Jack Colton is pretty badass also.

wow thats like £2.50! well worth it! it's a stand alone story so you don't need to play previous games but they are good also and would make you familiar with a few characters.

the story follows to paths one of george and the other his friend Nico a french reporter which you play alternately, the george parts in the jungle near the start are my favourite but it still makes for a good game overall.

I'm also going with O'Connell, he's probably the most "Indy-like" character. From what I've seen of Uncharted, Nathan Drake seems to be a cool character.

I voted for Benjamen Gates, mostly because national treature 2 was the most recent adventure movie I watched besides Indy. But still no one can out-adventure Indiana Jones!! :whip:

Hard choice, but I've always loved Tin Tin! It was between him, O'Connell, Quartermain and Croft. Tin Tin had vunerability and you could relate to him and I liked the places he travelled to and the people he traveled with, like the Captain and those ridiculous Thompson Twins with their pendulum trying to find Doctor Calculus. Funny story arc that one.

Nathan Drake for the win. O'Connel was my next pick but anyone who's played Uncharted can agree Nate is awesome.
