Temple of Doom Novel

Has anyone read the Temple of Doom novel? It seems that the novel is more graphic and more violent than the actual movie. Does anyone else agree?:)

Yes, I have read it but I can't comment on the violence since I've only read it
once, completely, and that was over 20 years ago. What is for certain is that
the novelization describes several scenes that are *not* in the movie...
PLUS...there are many sections which are written from Short Round's point of
view (with him speaking to his personal deities). The novel is worth tracking down!

From my June 1984 edition:

ISBN: 0-345-31457-3
Ballantine Books (Random House, Inc.) N.Y.

Library of Congress Catalog Card #: 84-90855

How about that? Indiana Jones in the Library of Congress - PRESERVED FOREVER

Yep, I've scanned through the novel and from what I saw, its pretty descriptive in what it says. Short Round makes many references to Chinese deities and some scenes are pretty graphic.
