The Archaeology of the family--Genealogy

I have been doing genealogy for 30 years. I have traveled to a couple of countries and even to Europe. I have investigated ancient Churches, graveyards, and ruins.

While doing all this I typically do it in my Indy gear!

This picture was taken in southern England at the grave of my Great, Great, Great Grandfather.

In all seriousness and curiosity, why?

I have always enjoyed researching where my ancestors have been and what they have done. When I travel to far away lands in search of information I imagine what it must have been like for them to have lived there and I think its great to see things that they would have seen.

We cannot forget that for every ruin or site you go to, a human constructed it, lived around it and used it for some purpose. I just like to cater the human aspect to those humans to whose DNA I carry.
