Harry looks so cute in the bowtie and suspenders.

Am I wrong or the one at the right of steven spielberg is John Hurt in a more "professoral" costume than the first photo of him (the one with the beard)? Could it be that he's really Abner?

I thought it was already confirmed that he's playing Abner Ravenwood. It's so hard for me to keep up with what's official and what's hearsay. :/

As far as I know, it hasn't been confirmed that John Hurt's playing Abner.
It's interesting that in the final scene being filmed, Harrison and Shia are wearing formal clothes. The boetie Harry's wearing looks like Indy's style. Could this be the wedding scene that was rumored to take place? :whip:

If i were a guy i would definitly wear suspenders and a bow tie ,it looks so awesome.I think Hurt is Abner the stuff thats behind him in the picture looks like something like a hide out office or something.:whip:

I was thinking the same thing! It maybe possible afterall. We don't see Karen anywhere on set. The only time we see her in the video, is in her costume interview. Another thing I noticed was that Karen wears the same small necklace in both the Comic Con video and this video. I would have thought it was nothing to do with her costume, but maybe it is.

Not to be 'that guy' but I gotta point out that Ford's wearing a brown bowtie with khaki trousers. Khaki. Not what you'd wear to a wedding, much less your own.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I can't figure out why Shia ditched the leather jacket for whatever scene they were shooting though. That's going to be puzzled over for a while. Maybe an ending like Raiders? Marion and Indy were well-dressed and back in the US in that ending unlike the other films.

Is it me or does Harrison look damn good for his age? He looks a little bit older from Last Crusade to me.

It's not just you. Harrison has aged suspiciously well. Sum it up to good genes, a healthy diet, ritualistically bathing in the blood of virgins... choose your favorite.

But I disagree with you about him looking close to LC era Ford. In these low-res, small-ish pictures, he doesn't look that much older than he was in LC, sure. However, as many pics on IMDB will show you, up close, sans make-up, his age is taking its toll. Lots o' wrinkles.

Still devilishly handsome, though. ;)

Temple of Doom is a great movie, Honestly don't understand all of the hate. It was my favorite one when I was a kid.

I enjoyed it as well, but I have to agree with Spielberg and the masses that it's the weakest.

Does that Cate picture look like she's the only one not on an Indy set or in costume? They must really be trying to keep a secret how she will appear in the film.

Woa... This is a great thread: lots of themes to speak about and lot of enthusiasm! Then I'll sum up some thoughts:

1. Has not been confermed that John Hurt is Abner... is just a fan supposition. But from these photos I really suspect that, and it would be interesting for the plot for me.

2. Actually, I agree with those who think that the toast shot could not be the wedding scene: harrison's trousers and the coloured bowtie makes him look not properly dressed for his wedding (his suit should be dark: blue or gray...).

3. That does not means that it could be the final scene, anyway. The fact that they're all together (Abner, Indy and Shia) and all well dressed makes think that. And beside I would love an ending in the University, like the Fate of Atlantis Comic book. It would close the saga in Indy's natural ambience: the faculty.

If you watch the wrap party video on the official site you can see that the final shot of Last Crusade was part of the train jumping sequence with young Indy - and we all know that most movies are shot out of sequence, so I would say that it's a fair conjecture that the wrap footage was not of the final scene.
