My only regret is that they never made any Indy films in the 90s. Last Crusade is set in the 30s and Crystal Skull is set in the 50s. Imagine all of the adventures Indy could have done in the 1940s. This is why I want an animated series, please do it Lucas.

Actually, a 5th movie or any old how would suffice. Just bring Indy on for as long as possible. I've just ordered all the YIJ stuff so I will be keen to see that. I saw the latest trailer last night on the big screen and it looks like a totally big action flick, judging by the trailer but I'm hoping for a good story. Bring it on!

Fifth movie should star a 66 year old Harrison Ford playing a 70 year old Mutt, which would set it round about 2007

Perfect! That way we could have LaBeouf play a younger Mutt circa 1960's with no need for Ford to dye his hair. These babies write themselves.

If we gonna discuss bond so is Daniel Craig best! He kills without mercy and is more like a real SPY, a bornkiller :gun: :gun: :gun: :gun: .

A bad news for you and good for me, Daniel Craig will be Bond at least four movies after Casino Royale. The next one is Quantum of Solace!

Now to Topic!

I can just see him now whizzing round on a Harley'esque Invalid chair. In leather. It'd be like Buba'hotep!!

Casino Royal is the worst Bond movie ever, and so IS Craig, he is a good actor, but he isn't bond, the look, the way he played bond ... The look ;).

For me there are only 3 Bonds:

1- Sean Connery
2- Pierce Brosnan
And at last 3- Roger Moore.

I'll probably watch the next Craig Bonds, but defiantly not in the Theatre. I will wait until it comes out for rent on DVD or BR or I will wait until they come out on TV

back to topic:

I really hope there will be no more Indy movies with or withou HF and no Mutt spin of either

Dene 05-07-2008 01:59 PM

I've already got what I wanted! No way am I getting my hopes built up for a fifth movie.

As a movie buff and Indiana Jones fan, Indy 4 has been the ultimate Maguffin. Not sure if anything will ever surpass it, think I've had my lot.

oki9Sedo 05-07-2008 02:16 PM

An Indy movie set during WWII could have been a cracker, all right. I like to think Indy played an important role in it.

visionz13 05-07-2008 03:29 PM

"Dr.Jones" the movie

A now retired indiana jones is exploring the world peacefully with his spare time. The well dressed Dr. Jones flashes his love for suits in this movie, and only in the end does he actually wear the Indiana Jones attire. A thriller movie with the big action sequence at the end. Of coure Dr. Jones will punch a few teeth over the course of the movie, but this is how I would like to see it done.

Quickly off topic...

Connery - suave and cool. Lazenby - Underated. Moore - A buffoon. Dalton - Wooden. Brosnan - SMUG! Craig - Perfect.

The original choice for Bond was Patrick MacGoohan and Craig bears a strange resemblance. And at least this new series has an arc!

Back on...

I think if a fifth movie was going to happen we will find out before the end of this year once they see how the audience reacts to Indy 4. It'd have to be put in motion quickly.

The Man 05-07-2008 03:42 PM

Here's a thought: why not take a plot from another Harrison movie and rehash that for an Indy 5? For example...Frantic:

While on a lecturing trip to Paris, Marion is kidnapped by shady Gallic terrorists in return for a mysterious MacGuffin hidden within Indy's Lady Liberty statue. A breakneck adventure ensues as Indy must brave strip clubs, cocaine dealers and pepper-spray, while befriending a comely French prostitute (Shia LaBeouf). The movie's central set-piece sees a naked Indy fending off sleazy perverts while covering his 'bits' with a teddy-bear.

Do you know how long it took for me as a precocious child to destroy the image of my hero's bare butt from mind.

Thanks for dredging up a wealth of memory....

What?!

Semi-nude Harrison Ford is like, the *only* reason to ever watch Frantic. ;)

But in my formative years? I coulda gone either way at that point and my Mom's boyfriend already questioned my sexuality over a TOD poster I had with Harrison bearing his chest through his torn shirt.

Just in case you try to forget again...

Note The Ford Finger. What a pro...

Iandiana 05-07-2008 06:05 PM

AAAArgh! You're all demons!

Lol, thank heavens it's only the Ford finger he's pointing.

One of the new books (either the DK guide or the lost journal, I can't remember) places Indy fighting in Germany at the time that the Nazi HQ fell. I'd like to think Indy was a big reason behind that. ;)

The first KotCS trailer sort of suggested that Indy single handedly defeated Hitler in 1938. :|

Lest not forget that a fictional character being responsible takes away from the real heroes that overthrew Hitler. Not a dig just an observation.

Damn. If that was really it, he'd be a really big man. That's ridiculous. Could that even fit in pants?

And on that nightmare I am off to sleep. Got a real bad feeling about what my dreams will entail.

That only sounds like a reason why he WOULD do it, and a hefty paycheck to boot.
