That looks great. I'm very eager with anticipation.

As you've been so kind, be a shame not to reward you...

I'll leave you to speculate on the recipe :)

"Boil and pop" causes (in my experience) no damage to the figure. While making my customs I've noted compatibility between the waist posts on Indy / Mutt; the arm sockets and balls on Indy / Mutt / 30th Anniversary Ceremonial Luke / Comic Pack Luke and a few others. Oops, there I go giving away my Jock recipe...

sebillba 08-26-2008 06:52 AM

Thanks Inky Skin, I've just tried the swap - both came apart easily enough, but ROTLA and KOTCS Indys aren't comapatable at the waist - one of them (ROTLA I think) has a larger, deeper recess around the peghole in the body, and the pelvis is sculped to fit this. Oh well, I've tried it, and put them back as they were, no harm done.

The_Raiders 08-27-2008 04:00 PM

Ok, I wanted to do something that no one has done yet, I decided to make Indy from ROTLA as you see him when he gets on the plane to go to Nepal, I know the jacket he wears in that scene is much different then what you see on the figure, but I'm not sure ow to change it, so I'm pleased as it is. But here are pics.

Also I gave my Mutt figure gloved hands and dry brushed his jacket and some facial hair like the movie,

Nice job, Raiders! Loving the Road to Nepal Indy.

glorbes 08-28-2008 09:32 PM

That Indy in suit is great. Very cleanly done.

The_Raiders 08-28-2008 10:36 PM

Thanks for the comments everyone! :hat: I really like my Indy in the suit the only problem is the paint I used ships off with merly a touch, but he's only on display so thats alright, but thanks again everyone.

I used delta cream coat acrylic paint, you can get it cheap at wal-mart. And also sorry fellow customizers but I have no more cstoms planned yet, or none that I have not shown except a saff of ra, but i don't think that needs to have any specific pics.

The Golden Idol 09-01-2008 12:21 PM

You made a Staff of Ra? Let's see it!

inky_skin 09-01-2008 04:44 PM

Nice work everyone.

Here's another little teaser while I wait for the paint to dry on Jock, and the parts to arrive for Katanga...

"And you thought I'd given up..."

glorbes 09-02-2008 06:00 AM

Inky, I can't wait to see that Belloq. Already it looks fantastic, and I'm trying to puzzle out the parts you used.

inky_skin 09-02-2008 11:29 AM

Here ya go then...

Belloq's 'Recipe' is as follows...

Head - Belloq (obviously)
Hat - scratch build
Torso - Indy
Upper Arms - Dovchenko
Forearms / Hands - Mutt
Legs - Dovchenko
Groin / hips - Indy (with lots of Milliput)
Holster - Indy

Jock...

Head - Tycho Celchu
Hat - scratch build
'Shirt' / Torso - Ceremonial Luke
Upper Arms - Indy
Forearms / Hands - Mutt
Upper Legs / Groin - Mutt
Lower Legs - Pirates of the Caribbean Cannibal Chief

bonoferox 09-02-2008 11:34 AM

Love both of them. Very nice work!
That Jock is outstanding.

tnswman 09-02-2008 11:36 AM

Very nice....This furthers my anger at Hasbro for not giving us a standard Belloq

sebillba 09-02-2008 03:29 PM

Amazing customs mate, really superb.:hat: That's definitely the Belloq Hasbro should have made.

Jock is perfect. Belloq is very close to perfection, but his hat is too large. If you can fix that and repaint his neck to match the skin tone on his face, it will look awesome.

glorbes 09-02-2008 07:13 PM

Those are fantastic, Inky.

I echo the comment aboout synching up the head color and the neck...its quite noticeable in the photograph. Other than that, I think the blending of parts is nothing short of flawless. Jock is absolute perfection.

Uki 09-02-2008 07:34 PM

See Hasbro? We want Belloq in Puruvian Adventure Gear and Jock (with Reggie!)!

...and about three dozen others, as well...

inky_skin 09-03-2008 03:51 AM

Thanks for the comments everyone.

As you all demand perfection and I'm a shameless crowd-pleaser, Belloq has lost his tan ;)

Bonus points if you can guess who I'm prepping on the right of this picture...

Actually, no. But now you mention it, the head does look perfect for Donovan (perhaps better than my original intention).
