Time of day of opening?
 

Hello

Can someone clarify the time of day of the opening. We start in daylight. I'm going to assume late afternoon, because it is getting dark as they enter the hangar. The rock sled shoots out, and it appears to be dusk, going into evening.

Does Indy wander all night then before finding Doom Town?

Just wondering. I'm willing to let it slide as one of those "where'd the time go" moments, like the submarine in Raiders.

I think it's pretty much as you detailed. Indy probably walked in the dark for awhile to get as far from the rocket sled as possible, found a spot to catch some sleep for the night, then continued on and stumbled upon Doomtown early the next morning. :)
