Awesome. The Tank set is great. ![]() ![]() |
That tank showdown set IS great...but where's the tank? Or any other vehicles for that matter.

Are you talking about the supposed Toys R Us Tank? That ended up being A Jungle Cutter w/ Indy and 2 Russian Soldiers. Nothing new. |

I'm sorry to hear that...I was really hoping to see some new stuff that would confirm the long term potential for this line. They certainly did a magnificent job of the display though. |
whoa...toy toy... we are adult :D :D
but I have heard, that Hugh Jackman was there, right?? It is my favourite :D |
the last crusade tank scene is quite poor, granted you get a henry figure without accesories, but i faintly recall a certain marcus brody with henry, sallah with fez on horse?not the best diorama, where are the exclusives?
|
They look great in package.
I JUST opened figures to build my Cairo diorama!! It looks identical. Wonder if that is a plastic basket or cardboard? |
TOD Indy looks good!

Those battle packs are really disappointing. As one who already owns the entire line so far, paying $25.00 for multiples of figures I already have just because they come with a cardboard diarama is pretty hard to swallow. The lack of exclusives here is really frustrating. Hopefully we'll see more in the future. The TOD figures look great though--better than any of the other pictures we've seen. I hope that the sacrificial cage and mine cart from the big display are going to make their way into deluxe packs of some kind.

Looks cardboard to me. You can see that the top is hexagonal instead of rounded, like it would be if it were plastic. Hasbro is skimping on these, I think. |
is there no more indy 3.5 figures to be shown /announced for 2009? the 2 figures i was really looking forward to buying have not even shown up,MARCUS AND TOHT,didnt hasbro have a professor indy underwraps aswell?
|
are they gonna have a slideshow presentation with images of new figures???
|
There is still the Hasbro Q & A panel with slideshow, (just like last year when this line debuted). This typically happens on the Friday afternoon of SDCC, so that means, it's happening now, (I hope)!

I agree! just get Hasbro to mass produce their convention display and I'd buy. The one from last years was good with the South American temple/pyramid. |

I dunno... it looks to me like these are just ways of repacking the same thing over and over and having collectors go, ooooh wow.. I already have three of that figure.. but I'll buy it again since the box looks different... I just can't buy the same thing repackaged and really enjoy it... but there is never a shortage of completeists in the figure collecting community ! |
That was just me being sarcastic!
They display beautifully, but damn why buy more of the same action figures we have sitting on the pegs. |
The Cairo one is actually good. But, if I really want a troop builder set, how many of the same Indiana Jones do I NEED?
|
They are doing the Star Wars and Indiana Jones presentation and Q & A right now...
|
Well, with no new movie on the immediate horizon, Hasbro has to watch how much of this stuff they pump out. Indy mania really has already died down and the figs are pegwarming. Rehashes of already-released figures save them production and tooling costs, so it's less risky for them and still gets a little something new out there for collectors.
A big push with a lot of new releases that sold soft could end the line. It seems like they want to be in it for the long term, which is a decision i applaud. But in reality it means only a trickle of new releases here and there. I can deal. I think they're planning to alternate their future pushes between Star Wars, GI Joe, and Transformers, all of which have new movies coming in the following year or so. Indy will be almost more of a side line, but hopefully still be around. If they did a wave of six figures every three months and one or two vehicles a year i'd be a happy camper. |

Hey, we LEGO Indy enthusiasts get the same Indy minifig with every LEGO Indy set, regardless of era or who else is included. You Hasbro collectors will suck up multiple Indys and like it!! :whip: :p ;) |
I LOVE it!!!! :D
