I just felt a grave disturbance in the Force. As if millions of voices had cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. What would happen if George lets his kids take over the business decisions of Lucasfilm once he goes the way of the dodo? Would they make Episodes VII, VIII and IX that Lucas swore (yeah right) that he would never make? Would they make the Prequels to the Prequels? Will the (mis)Adventures of Indiana Jones continue ad nauseum without Harrison or with a CGI Harrison clone? Will they "remake" or "re-imagine" Star Wars and Indiana Jones to keep them "up-to-date?" Will Howard the Duck and Labyrinth be sequelized?

I don't think they'll ever do anything. Ever. I could see The Labyrinth with a sequel made by someone though and I think episodes VII, VIII and IX are inevitable, but it will probably be completely CG like The Clone Wars. That's what Lucas wanted all along anyways right? I mean that's what he was building up to with the re-releases of the original trilogy and the prequels and now Clone Wars.

At most I think the spawn of Lucas will produce stuff but only in a financial sense and not in a creative one whatsoever. They're made for life.

Note: The look on GL and son's faces. If this ominous kodak moment tells me anything, it's "like father like son". So I could be wrong.

While it is nothng to do with George and family - there is a "The Dark Crystal 2" to look "forward" to in 2009. What was once puppets and nice puppet/painted backdrops - will now be CGI, according to wikipedia. I liked the wonder of the backdrops being natural as opposed to done on a PC.

Can you imagine how Labyrinth would be if they made a second one now days. Jareth's air would be computer generated - as would the worm that invites people in for a cup of tea.

As for Star Wars 7, 8 and 9. Please - no, never. Imagine that. 3 great original Star Wars movies, surrounded eitherside by 3 pathetic dumbed down movies. Not to mention 7,8 and 9 would probably go along with the expanded universe rubbish where one of Leia and Han's kids turns to the dark side, and then kills Mara Jade.
