A Chewbacca cameo...

You Americans are all the same. Always overdressing for the wrong occasion.

Mickiana 03-01-2012 04:29 PM

ps Toht's line referred to Matt Damon's 'Grapes of Wrath' outfit. :p

Will we EVER see a true re-release of the untouched OT Star Wars?

Do you think we'll EVER--even after George is dead--see a restored release on a high definition format of the original 1977 Star Wars, original 1980 Empire and 1983 Jedi? I mean something MORE than the crappy Laserdisk transfers we got in 2004--Real, awesome quality transfers of the original landmark films with all the care they deserve?

Montana Smith 03-20-2012 12:38 PM

No.

Stoo 03-20-2012 01:30 PM

Yes...someday eventually, long after George Lucas has passed away.

Here are 2 threads about the original trilogy:

"Star Wars Identities" Exhibit Premiering in Montreal

Just like the Indiana Jones exhibit last year, beautiful Montreal is premiering a new exhibition called "Star Wars Identities" and it was created by the same Montreal company who did the Indy one and it's at the same venue, the Montreal Science Centre.

It opened yesterday (April 19) and will be running until September 16, 2012 before moving on to Edmonton, Alberta. It features over 200 props, costumes and production drawings, etc.

Unfortunately, I'm leaving back for Switzerland today but will be home again in the summer and will see the exhibit then. If anyone plans on coming into town to for it, let me know!:)

Love the book, and I wish I could buy a copy for every Warrior out there.

In case you have't seen this.... prepare yourselves for a whole new low level for Star Wars.

Harrison plays the dancing Han Solo game!

Personally, this is pretty cringe worthy. Borders on Holiday Special territory. Though a few of 501st Legion apparently love it.

Oh dear. I hope they stop after Empire XXX and Jedi XXX, or we're next.

Not the first one of its kind, actually. I think there are more like three or four preceding this.

You'll have to take my word for it though, due to the lack of SFW links.

Though your wish may be in vain. Judging by that pattern in their upcoming releases list, I'd say they're bound to get around to Indy in due time.

I also have to say that some of these things actually surprise with the quality and thought that's gone into them. If you cut all the... action scenes, you'll get what's a pretty affectionate parody that almost honors the source material.

Mark Hamill in Montreal

On July 21st, Mark Hamill will be at the Montreal Fantasia Film Festival to present his new film, "Sushi Girl".

Personally, I'd like to talk to him about a movie he starred in during the late '70s. No, not "Star Wars" but...."Corvette Summer"!:p

P.S. Those paintings that Smiffy posted are sensational.

Gungan brains are okay if you're on a diet.
