Inky Skin sent the figure to me on May 6th, 2010 so it's been exactly 1 year (+ 9 days) since the intial dispatch. We need to get Mini-Indy back on the road again because, as we all know, the good professor does not sit still!

Rocket is still on the forum, he is posting quite regularly, but he has ignored entreaties from numerous parties for information and updates about the whereabouts of the figure.

The details of the disappearance of the figure and its "miraculous" return are themselves rather suspicious.

There's no reason for Rocket not to have sent the figure in the more than two months since it "returned" or at the very least for him to respond to the numerous messages that have been sent his way from multiple parties.

Either he doesn't have it or he has no intention of ever sending it. His behavior is bordering on pathological at this point.

Either way, it's gone and I'm not going to waste any more energy on this or give Rocket any further validation or attention.

It is NOT over! Indy WILL circumvent the globe and this project will not die!:)

In Rocket's defence, he has been away from home for the past while and he asked his family to put Indy in the mail (but I'm guessing it's not their #1 priority).

Cripes, Rocket paid $50 out of his own pocket to get the figure back from the deadbeats at the post office. Please, Lance, cut him some slack.:)

I'm happy to apologize and retract if I'm proven wrong.

But given that Rocket has been posting away in other forums consistently (even as early as this morning), the "out of town" excuse doesn't fly for ignoring the repeated queries and communiques from me and other sources. If nothing else, that's just rude.

But given his mysterious silence on the matter, the fact that two months have gone by and the suspicious stories about Indy's "amazing" return** the picture that it all paints is not a promising one at all.





**The story about the package returning via bribery don't quite hold water, either. Would a postal employee risk their job by stealing a random package? I guess it's at least possible, though extremely unlikely. However, would an employee risk exposure by accepting bribes and returning said package? It's a bit hard to swallow. But, again, I welcome the chance to be proven wrong.

Ok - I'm ending this before the thread gets derailed. As of June 12th there will be a new figure for the project. Whether Rocket has the original or not is a moot point. I don't want what was a bit of frivolous fun turning to recrimination.

Once again, thanks for putting me in the mix. If someone wants to get a figure together now and set it for delivery to me this Saturday or Monday, I'm planning to make stops at all of the Memphis sites above one last time before moving to the Buckeye State. I can also take him on a tour there as well. Let me know and I'll PM you my Memphis address.

Rocket & I have been communicating throughout the whole affair and I will wholeheartedly vouch for him. Believe me, the loss & retrieval of Mini-Indy was GENUINE (including the $50 he paid to get the figure back).

The package wasn't "stolen" by a post office employee. It was 'returned-to-sender'! They f*cked up by not sending it...
I WILL get Rocket to mail the original figure. Please, trust me, Sir Ink...:hat:

You're absolutely right. No sense in losing sight of the "fun" and getting angry and upset over something which is supposed to be whimsical and fun.

Sorry guys...I apologize. I own my own business and I haven't had the time or energy to give the Raven any real attention lately so I've missed a lot. I just put together my first Indy Cast segment in over a month and a half and it was bare bones.

Anyway I have him, (still) and I'll post the delivery confirmation reciept tomorrow.

Glad to hear "little Indy" is still safe and secure. He's been through a lot.

For what it's worth, and as much as I want to see new episodes in this saga, I'd like to see the original Indy continue his adventures.

Sometimes real world situations get in the way of the fun stuff like this.

We have an 8-year-old and a 4-month old. I consider getting up in the morning a major victory.

It's only about 8 hours, and your 8 year old can make it. I wish I had, when I went, but I let our 2 year old at the time dictate the day.

Finally made it to Los Angeles. This is going to be one busy trip.

Nope - Indy is safely with Lance, who has been on travels of his own. He's been in regular contact and it looks like mini-Indy's first outing is going to be a big one ;)
