I'm a fanatic for Hellenistic history, and apparently this Archaeology section is largely devoted to stuff like this, so I thought I'd give it a post.

I find it incredible that this is only the second coin found in Israel dating back to the reigns of the Ptolemies, who held Palestine for over 150 years until their Seleukid rivals grabbed the region from them.
