She mistook Indiana Jones for Tom Jones? ;) Doing some digging on the artist lead back to The Raven (which is after all the source of all things): http://raven.theraider.net/showthread.php?t=12512 |

Cool, but leaving his feet kind of sucks. A flying tooth or splotches of blood sure. Still some nice work... Oh, nice, what was the german word for swastika? |

OTT for sure! (And it was Hakenkreuz). And now for something completely different: ![]() Adam Hughes, created for a TOPPS' card set, depicting Indy and Theresa walking through the Norse ruins from Dark Horse Comics' INDIANA JONES ADVENTURES, VOL. I. |

Man he sure knows how to draw chicks! Seasonal too...! Indy's got a tough life baby. |

She's got that cute face common to Frank Frazetta's girls. Quote:
I haven't read the story, but does Indy get to unwrap his Christmas present? |

These are superb.
Take a look.
![]() ![]() ![]() Love the use of Belloq's watch as the gem in the headpiece. It is a central thematic prop for the film. |

I like those. They have a good look. I think I will buy them. Thanks for posting. |
Here is one of my drawings of Indiana Jones.I know it isn't very good, but for some reason when I do real people they always turn out to looking like a cartoon.
![]() Here is Mutt. ![]() |
A sketch of Indy I did in class. I can't find the cords to my scanner so hope this picture will suffice:hat:
![]() I used the cover of my TOD Novelization as reference. |
Indy Community by Otis Frampton:

Very cool - mine arrived in the mail today! |
I really REALLY like those. How big are they?
|
Quote:
You choose the size when you order; the 13x18 size is $20.80 per print. |
Quote:
Wow! I LOVE these types of posters, well done whomever made them! I put them into one image and they're now my background. :hat: |
Quote:
Love those minimalist posters, they need to make KOTCS too! :whip: |
Those silhouetted posters above for all 4 films, I put them onto a disc, took them to Kinko's and had them all printed out at 16x12 size, all of them for $10.00! And then I put them into a frame.
So now I have ROTLA, TOD, LC and KOTCS posters side by side in a frame on my wall. These things are damn cool. I admit they look odd next to my Salvador Dali and Georges Seurat paintings though! :p I've never have film or music related images on my walls as I prefer very old art prints but for these I made an exception! :whip: |
Quote:
I'm sure the artist really appreciates that. I applaud your taste, both in this regard and that of the other paintings you have up, but: this guy's still alive, is all I'm saying. |
Quote:
Oh, the ones you posted aren't the ones I printed up. The ones I have are the set of four films with the Indy sihlouette. I can't find the artist that did mine but if I could, I'd buy them off him of course. I did try to look for him and if someone knows who did the ones I have, I'd be happy to purchase the actual ones. I understand your concern. |
Quote:
^And to add to that, I wish the artist would've put a watermark or some link to where I could purchase them. At least I'm appreciating them, they're good works! I do paint and do photos myself and I sell my stuff at my local art gallery and such so I know the risk of posting things online and when I do I either put a watermark on it and have it in a low quality/small size so someone couldn't take it. And if I did post it in the full size unwatermarked, I completely understand someone could take it and print it. That's the risk you run as an artist when you post your stuff online without a watermark, in high quality and without a link to your site. Anyone can print out my stuff if I post it unmarked/HD, just please don't take credit for it! But in the end, once it's posted naked and in HD, I lose all control. :hat: |
Quote:
Hah, my mistake. But, as you say, you understand my concerns. It might not have touched a nerve so much if I hadn't read this piece that's been circulating about music and file-sharing and our due to artists and arts-related professionals. |
Quote:
I just finished reading that and I understand why it touched a nerve. Our art and music industry is being hurt. I do feel a bit bad for having these lovely pieces. However, the artist lost all control of what happens to his art and who has it when he posted it w/o a watermark and in high quality. To be so careless with your art on the internet is a shame. But still, if anyone can find out who did these pieces, I'd still love to know. :hat: |

His name, as in Montana's initial post, is Matthew Brazier. It seems as though he's not yet making money from his art, so to speak. Here's an older posting regarding the Indy posters. |

The tea stains and the lungs of darkness? It was Rocket who posted those. |
LOL -- I remember seeing the original of this at the Nucleus Gallery a little over a year or two ago. I even considered buying it!

Oy. I can't read in this thread, apparently. It was our dear departed Surgeon. |

Where is Rocket? |
Quote:
Absent, of his own volition. I know I mentioned him, but since there's been a spate of conversation lately, I'll remind us all of the fourth rule here. |

I thought the original artwork would look cool as an acme style print but when you realise where it is from you'll can't believe what an obvious idea it is! However, I have colored it and used original Marvel colors from the 80s. |

I saw this at the Nucleus Gallery some time ago. Considered buying it. Well done, and very, very clever. |
I've had some fun with this one for the last few days. It took ALOT of fine tuning and handiwork, but I like it. I heavily modified existing pictures and screenshots for most of the elements (the only major change I made was giving Indy a little smirk).
This is the full size image so it's a bit on the small side. ![]() I kinda regret not putting Sallah in, but as I'll probably do TOD and LC at some point, he'll get into the LC poster for sure.:whip: |
If I could read the signature...
I could give credit where credit is due...
![]() A merge would be a good idea, the shorter name is better too. |

These are too large to embed here directly, but Daniel Norris has a nice series of the original trilogy.

Love the Pathway maps. Are they anything to do with board games? If not, there's potential there. At least a Snakes and Ladders version.:p
