Whip video review - Morgan and Del Carpio
Been wanting to post a vid of my David Morgan 10-foot and Del Carpio 9-foot for a few years now.
Enjoy http://youtu.be/ffXYKNJATRY |
I am super jealous of your whips, my whip is nice, but not screen accurate. Well, its an indy style whip, and i love it, its a great whip, but i have a nylon indy style whip.
|
Actually in reality I think a modern-day Indy SHOULD carry a nylon whip. I own an 8-foot Indy-style nylon from Rhett Kelly and I love it because of its durability and how you don't have to pamper it.
For a true Indy adventure, nylon is the only kind of whip that would survive. |
Among others, I own a 7' Rhett Kelly nylon, a tough old third-hand 7' cowhide Del Carpio from when he was starting out, and a newer 9' 'roo Del Carpio. If I had to grab one for an adventure, it would actually be the old cowhide one! I don't baby my whips when I'm practicing with them and expect they'll deteriorate over time. I think the nylon - my first whip - has had the toughest time of it. Nowadays it's the one I lend to newbies. Great whip, but just not as good as a well broken in leather whip.

Yes, i agree, that only nylon would survive. I have an 8 foot Indy Style whip made by Steve Huntress, an excellent whip too. |
