I thought the same too.

For someone to post that Harrison has Alzheimers seems in really bad taste to, (let alone a mod post it), if its meant as a joke its not a very funny one.

Maybe because time has been kind and so we're not watching it now with all the baggage of Raiders in our minds like we did back then. For me I can watch the film now and not compare back to Raiders,...

I agree on Mutt. They don't need to carry over any baggage from previous films and for me that could hamper new adventures if hes along for the whole film.

Raiders is perfect in every way I think. Defintiely one of those lightning in a bottle cinema moments. The sequels are good films in their own right in various ways but they will forever be held up...

Ewan Mcgregor is still perfect for this role. However I wonder what they can do with him unless they take him off Tatooine for some kind of adventure. The Obi Wan EU novel wasn't that great IMO.

Yeah my sarcasm fell flat

I see what the question is getting at, basically resurrecting characters from early in his career, but the choice of wording in using reboot is just all wrong.

Great question to Harrison at Comic CON

"Is it your life goal to reboot every major franchise you've helped to create, like Blade Runner"

Harrison: "You bet your ass it is" :whip:

Great post and its something that seems to have been lost sight of. I wonder if the advent of these new movies will also see some reissues of the original classics.

I hope he is written out, I'd much prefer this over a recast. They shouldn't feel burdened by the baggage of KOTCS to include him in 5.
