I was in Prague for a week so here's a few pictures.

Did you visit the Alchemist's Castle? I recognize that two-tower church from ET.

Maybe you're talking about the Powder Tower which was an Alchemist's workshop at the time of emperor Rudolph II. It's part of the Prague castle which has the St. Vitus cathedral in it's center. I only visited the cathedral and the old royal palace there.

The two tower church you see is on the photo is the 14th century Church of Our Lady before Tyn. It is on the Prague's main town square (12th century).

Why didn't you take me with you, vaxer?! I'm jealous!
Not sure you would have survived the 15 hour bus/coach journey to get there and back ;). I'll take it again once I forget what it's like to not move for 15 hours, the best part was the movie...in Czech! (That language is so far from anything I know that I haven't figured out yet how to say "thank you").
Seriously you have got to stop there next time you go to Poland, it's definitly worth it!

(The Bus IS the cheapest way to travel, in Europe that is)

Thanks for sharing those pictures with us Vaxer. Prague is a place I would like to visit someday (along with about a dozen other places). :)

I survived an equally long round-trip bus ride from Poland to Italy. LOL Besides, I am going to Poland again next year, and I'll probably take a train, which takes about four to five hours to get from Wroclaw to Prague.

I've been thinking about going to Poland with a friend for some time now but I just don't know when that will be possible. What I love about traveling is the poeple you meet there. We met a cool Italian guy, a few other french guys and 4 (good looking) german girls, and we all just went party together enjoying the local beer and the cheap cocktails...why did I come back!?

LOL. You should have stayed there!

Anyway, I'm traveling by myself for two months next year. Maybe we'll bump into each other. :p

If you come to France yeah, because I'll be working all summer. This was possibly my last summer vacation as a student :( (unless I figure a way to continue studying...the perspective of "working" for good freaks me out)

It was hotter than hell in Prague, but there was nothing like ice cold beer to cool down.

I was only there for three days and spent the majority of them roaming from one site to the next... and probably didn't even visit a significant fraction of the city. There was just too much! I bought myself the marionette I always wanted and even feel inspired to read a little Kafka when I return to the U.S.

It was hot too when I went there in April, we've got to buy some t-shirts because we've take only jumpers and shirts. However beer was excellent and they make also a good pizza!:)
