Ever since I did a report on it for 5th grade, I've wanted to visit Australia. I'd also like to visit Japan, Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland and Scotland.

And it appears this summer I may have the opportunity to visit England, since a friend's mom lives there now and I'd have a place to stay and wouldn't have to spend money on a hotel. Nothing's final yet, and it's still just wishful thinking at this point because of the price of a round-trip flight, but it's something that could be a possibility. :)

I'd like to visit Petra Jordan too, and Australia.

One thing confuses me - why do people say they love the English accent - they do realise we have multiple accents here??

I'm gonna go ahead and break the rules by listing places, not necessarily countries I want to visit. XD

1) Venice, Italy.

3) Zambia (in Africa)
4) Calcutta, India
5) The Emerald Isle
6) London, England
7) Japan
8) The freakin' rest of Europe, actually.

I've had a post-it in front of me for quite a while now; thought it was time to actually post the locations on it here :p

Not in any particular order:

1: Mexico, for the Mayan and Aztec ruins, caves and cenotes!
2: India, so many places, but especially Mumbai's Elephanta Island with the temple caves!
3: Egypt, well, for pretty much all the stuff that Egypt is known for. The pyramids, the Nile, Abu Simbel, Karnak, the Valley of Kings, ruin diving in Alexandria, the list goes on and on forever!
4: Istanbul, really a city between the east and the west. Lots to see, including beautiful mosques, cisterns and palaces!
5: Budapest, Hungaria, for the very mysterious cave systems underneath the city! SOOOO much fun!
6: Cuba, vibrant city somewhat stuck in time. It just appeals to me :)
7: Anasazi Ruins, New Mexico, always wanted to go there and I'll more than likely will get my chance while being in Los Angeles next year :)
8: Greece, I just love this country. There is an incredible amount of history to see here and it's a great country to spend your summer holiday :)
9: Scotland, visiting castles and ruined abbeys!

I still have to think about number 10, maybe I'll come up with something eventually

I've been a Wild Rover for many a year.

I was reading through a lot of the responses here thinking that 'I've been there, there, and there.' With a modest seventy-odd countries under my belt, I've already visited most of the usual spots. Hopefully these spark some further adventuring thoughts among those assembled.

1.) The Sudan
2.) Somalia
3.) South America (it remains a blank spot in my passport).
4.) Montenegro
5.) Vatican City (how one can visit Roma for a week and not see it still baffles me.)
6.) Azerbaijan
7.) Cuba
8.) Iceland
9.) The 'stans (specifically Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan)
10.) Yemen

Why do you guys all want to go to Australia? What's here other than adorable little old me? :p

While I woudl love to meet adorable little old you - I had a great time in Australia! Besides Sydney and the sword fighting tournament I went to particpate in - I saw giant bats (they looked like foxes with wings) a wild Kangaroo (they are BIG) an unbelivable system of caves, and a rain forest that was so primeval, I actually expected a T-Rex to burst from the underbrush at any moment!!! Australia rocks!!!
