Holy heck, Alina!!! This is absolutely phenomenal! A priceless find worthy of an Indy adventure itself.

I will have to carefully examine and enjoy these images over a very long period of time, you've given us a staggering amount to digest here.

Simply marvelous, what an incredible feat!!

My personal favorite has to be the Cigarette Girl!!! That was an amazing addition!!!

Thank you again for sharing your extraordinary, prolific work!!

WHOO!

Wow, thanks Lance! I feel honored you enjoy the figures... :hat:

But again, honor to whom honor is due: Some of the designs and custom recipes come from other people and I just tried my hand on them - case in point being the cigarette girl, which was first built by Tommy Lin and I followed the instructions with my own figure. Others were suggested by resident Raveners and others still were built by me from scratch.

Again, my thanks for the kind words!

Next up: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and the Expanded Universe :)

Best,
Daniel

You're very welcome, Daniel, and I'm glad you made it here!(y)

WOW! ALL of your stuff is superb but I'm really amazed at your Young Indy figures (especially their little props like the journal and Old Indy's cane, etc.)! They are so special & unique that it's hard to pick a favourite! Schiller gave me a chuckle because he is Daniel Craig's character.

Is the Corey-Carrier-in-safari-outfit made partly out of a young Anakin Skywalker? Years ago, I had suggested using this kid for anyone wishing to build one but yours looks even better.

If you feel like it, post a picture of your Old Indy in the Old Indiana Jones Chronicles thread. It would make a nice addition.

Looking forward to seeing the rest! WUNDERBAR!:hat:

Thanks Stoo!
Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the Young Indy results myself, if I may say so - especially since I found a plasticine figure which kind of resembled Sean Patrick Flanery (mainly the hair) and since I managed to put enough Green Stuff on a Peter Pan figures face to built a Remy ;)

And yes, you're right: that's an Anakin for Corey Carrier - again with a lot of green stuff for the jacket and a dremeled down fireman's hat for the pith helmet. While the Empty Child ("Are you my mommy?") has a great outfit, I believe the figure's in a different scale.

I'll take you up on your offer and will put some better shots of the George Hall figure up in the Old Indy thread soon!

Thanks again!

Best wishes,
Daniel

Anakin was a complete guess on my part because I haven't bought any action figures since 1982! That said, I'd like to make my own Corey-Carrier-in-Egypt figure some day and am interested to know what would be the best way to build one. It seems that Anakin would be the best place to start. Danke!:hat: Hey, if you want to make some ?xtra money, I'll pay you to make me one.

Glad you mentioned that, Daniel, because I'm crazy about pith helmets and my only quibble with your Corey figure is the headgear. (In the photo, it has the appearance of a Sherlock Holmes deer hunter cap!) I realize that you were probably aiming for his brimmed 'safari style' in East Africa but, to match that outfit, he needs his white topee in Egypt.;)

Now, I'm aware that these things are tiny and difficult to work with but it's rare that customizers here have achieved 'helmet perfection' with their Belloqs and Blumburtts (as great as their work is). In my opinion, the best attempt at a miniature pith helmet is Blumburtt's otter-tailed 'Wolseley' in post #999 by Jr.Jones. An honourable mention goes to Inky Skin's custom of Belloq's 'Bombay Bowler' in post #1584?for the thickness of the brim only.

Your headgear for Belloq looks similar to the same plastic one which a couple of other customizers have used (and is close enough, I suppose, but not perfect). For your Blumburtt, did you make his pith from putty?

ugh, the pith helmets... yeah, you really got me there... those were positively driving me mad! ;)

For Belloq, I first tried building one out of Henry Sr.'s hat and it looked awful. Then I found out, like you mentioned, that some customizers used a GI Joe helmet which I had, so René's wearing that one now. For Blumburtt I made a cast from that helmet and it turned out a bit rougher, which I'm okay with (I'm not exactly a stickler for screen accuracy in this scale, you know - for me, they're supposed to be action figures with the emphasis on "action" ;) ). And Corey's helmet, well, that was one of the first times I tried to use not an already existing action figure prop but to take a part of one of those rigid, Smurf-type figures. It could be better, I'll admit. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a better one :)

And yeah, sure, I'll build you a Henry Jr., if you like - let's talk ;)

Best wishes and thanks again
Daniel
