I haven't finished the game yet but I'll look through that when I'm done. I love the environments and all the work Naughty Dog puts into their artwork.

The Lost Legacy has received a nice write up over at Roger Ebert's old site of all places!

Brian Tallerico said:
These games recall generations of storytelling, in literature and cinema, echoing both ?Raiders of the Lost Ark? and the serial films that inspired it. As the series has progressed to the current generation of consoles, the visual language of the games has gotten even more cinematic and beautifully composed. They are games that put you in control of a blockbuster film, allowing you to step into the role of an action hero in ways that other franchises can?t come close to replicating. There?s a palpable sense of adventure in these games, and a perfect blend of authorship and storytelling in that you feel simultaneously like you are watching a fascinating story unfold and being an active participant.

Kotaku also has another collection of art from The Lost Legacy to browse through!

You can also check out their collection of art from A Thief's End too!

I finally finished the game this evening and I'm already looking forward to going back for my Crushing run, as well as picking up the remaining treasures and photo opportunities. It's an amazing ride and I'm looking forward to jumping right back into it again. If I had to rank the games at this moment my list would probably look like this:

2
4
Lost Legacy
1
3

That's great news! I'm glad to see that it had a similar effect for you. Now, let's see if the others manage to make their way back here.

This, though? Nah, man. I can't sign off on anything that places A Thief's End that high in the canon. For me, that list looks a little something like this:

Among Thieves
The Lost Legacy
Drake's Deception
Drake's Fortune
A Thief's End

The dual retcons are nigh unforgivable in A Thief's End, but lobotomizing Drake and the nonsensical ending might be the most egregious.

I want to like it more than I do, but it's clearly a product of two different groups.

The Guardian has another good write up of The Lost Legacy as well! Drop on by and give it a read!

At some point the trajectory shifted. Games still borrow filmic techniques, but the truly cinematic video game ? that which seeks to mimic the characterisation, structure and run-time of a blockbuster movie ? is endangered, squeezed out by world-conquering, team-based eSports on one side and, on the other, everlasting online worlds where the game?s geography expands to match the player?s wanderlust. Naughty Dog remains one of the few purveyors of the filmic game. The American studio?s flagship Uncharted series remains the final bastion of this expensive, sophisticated form of game-making, earning plaudits from Hollywood-preeners such as Bafta and the Writer?s Guild of America.

Otherwise, I've been busy collecting trophies as well as enjoying the vastly improved combat encounters in the main campaign. I've spent a lot of time with the new and improved Survival Arena, too. More on that later though.

I'm busy going through my Crushing playthrough and collecting everything I missed the first time around. I realized I missed a photo opportunity at the very end of Chapter 3, which means I have to go back and play through that section again.

I am having fun watching Chloe run around in her western outfit. All she needs is a good cowboy hat to complete the set!

Finally got the game on Monday, didnt get around to playing it until last night. So playing on Medium, and I just barely got to the Western Ghats. From what I heard everyone saying about this level it appears to be quite expansive, probably larger then the Madagascar level on Uncharted 4. So it seems that this level is pretty big...might spend a few days. Looking at my artifact list, I skipped a few despite trying to be thorough... next play though Im looking at it with a guide, but for this one, Im just letting myself go through it just making sure I get a good time.

Not to spoil too much but there's an item that you can collect in the Western Ghats that makes finding treasures much easier on your second playthrough. I'm still using a guide in case I miss one but this item makes them pretty easy to find.:)

Thanks for the tip! I put in a lot of extra effort last night to get *that item* So I'm planning on playing it again eventually so it will be very useful for my second play though. Im not really going out of my way to look for specific treasures this time, mainly picking them up where and if I can find them. Next run I will use a guide to get all the treasures. And yes I had to consult a guide to get even close to 'that item',

The 19th of November marks Uncharted's 10th Anniversary!

Evan Wells said:
This Sunday, November 19, marks the 10th anniversary of the Uncharted: Drake?s Fortune launch in North America. At the time, we knew it was the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the studio?s history, but never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that it would be the first step in an adventure that would span five games across two console generations during the last decade. We?re truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to build the world of Uncharted and tell unbelievable stories with Nate, Elena, Sully, Sam, Chloe, Nadine, and the rest of the cast; all while you, our biggest fans, were along for the ride.

Log onto the PlayStation store to pick up the special 10th Anniversary theme and avatar. Other Uncharted themes and avatars are available for free through the 10th Anniversary Bundle. Act quickly though! It's only available for 48 hours; the game's up on the 21st of November at 8 am. Step lively!

Dig multiplayer? Well, Naughty Dog and PlayStation are hosting a 50% off sale on all Relic and Point items through the 19th of December. The anniversary month culminates in a special retrospective panel at the PlayStation Experience in Anaheim. There's no mention of specific cast members yet, but you have to believe Nolan North & Richard McGonagle will be there. So bring your games to be autographed!

They're also going to have special 10th Anniversary merchandise at the PlayStation Gear store and a show floor "puzzle room" (Escape Room?) in a life size creation of Nate's Attic.

Check out the full blog post here!

I wish they had added a couple maps or something special. I already have the characters and the themes, while nice to look at, aren't anything mind-blowing. Give us one map from each game and then move on.

A Thief's End multiplayer certainly seems to be under served in the map department, but I don't think we'll be getting anything more. They might announce something at PSX, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sony did finally give a formal announcement on their Uncharted 10th Anniversary Panel! For those so inclined, it will take place at 5 PM PST on Saturday, 9 December.

Sid Shuman said:
Join us as we celebrate the Uncharted 10th Anniversary at PSX 2017 with an unprecedented gathering of the cast from throughout the series! Nolan North, Emily Rose, Richard McGonagle, Claudia Black, Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, Graham McTavish, and Robin-Atkin Downes reflect on the series and share their memories with guest moderator Greg Miller (Kinda Funny). We?ll also be hosting a special signing session with the cast prior to the panel. Keep an eye on the PlayStation Experience app for time and location!

As predicted: Nearly everybody who voiced a character in the series is on hand for the panel!

The entire... conference and panels will be streamed per Sony, so stay tuned for this coming weekend!

Full streaming info and other panel information can be found on the PlayStation blog as always.

I've only had a chance to check out a couple of minutes from the nearly hour long panel from the PlayStation Experience, but Sony has been kind enough to upload it in its entirety to their YouTube page!

It was confirmed (during the panel?) that the series as a whole has sold nearly 42-million copies. That's an insane number of copies and would seemingly guarantee that it continues in some form or another.

Agreed, I still have yet to replay Lost Legacy (mainly because I got stuck on the Phantom Pain and still need to play install Darksiders) But I wouldn't mind seeing another story in this franchise. Maybe a sequel for Chloe and Nadine? Or another character, as I think Nathan's retired after this.

I really liked Chloe in the lead role in LL and wouldn't mind her as the face of the franchise for a while. A new game once every two or three years would be a nice treat.

Since The Lost Legacy came and had it's time in the sun, there have been two schools of thought regarding Uncharted's future. The first camp thinks that the series is done. Naughty Dog is a different studio now, and wants to work on different things. The second camp believes that Sony likes money, and isn't ready to walk away from the kind of revenue Uncharted has been pulling in.

I'm largely in the second camp. Sony might officially be in that camp too. While I was out of town, news surfaced that Sony PlayStation was building up a new internal studio to work on a third-person action-adventure game.

Greenhouse.io said:
Sony PlayStation is building a new game development team in partnership with the Visual Arts Service Group (VASG), an award-winning, full-production studio that specializes in Animation, Motion Capture, Cinematics, Art and Scanning. This is the same world-class team known for its contributions to beloved franchises like Uncharted, Death Stranding, God of War and more. For more than a decade, we have shared knowledge, support and cutting-edge techniques with the very best developers in the industry: Naughty Dog, Kojima Productions, Guerrilla Games, Santa Monica Studios, Sucker Punch Productions, Bend Studio, Japan Studio, Insomniac Games and more.

This high visibility project is being developed in collaboration with a major Sony development studio. Though currently unannounced, we have a clear vision and plan to release. The new game development team will leverage our existing expertise and premier talent, guaranteeing a high visual quality bar for the title.

Full job listing can be found here.

The VASG group is 100% Sony owned and operated despite the intimation that it's an outside group. Now that build up could be for an entirely new thing, but intrepid internet sleuths found this tidbit on a LinkedIn profile.

With Naughty Dog all-in on The Last of Us II, it certainly gives the idea legitimacy.

All original sleuthing can be found over here.

More Sully, please!

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more games. It's a series that, much like Indy, is full of possibilities and interesting stories to tell.

I just hope they do a better job with multiplayer support next time. I'm still extremely disappointed that Uncharted 4's multiplayer got so few modes and maps. It was like they just gave up on it soon after release.

This is a great promotional angle for the forthcoming Indy game. I've played generic Pirate, Sherlock Holmes, and "Wizard School" rooms, and wouldn't care whether an Indy room was licensed.

I hope they release the Uncharted franchise on PC similar to Horizon 1 and Days Gone.

I have all the main Tomb Raider games(TR 1-12) and the Indiana Jones games that I love. I just don't have Uncharted.
