You know, I remember when Indy 5 was first announced (back in the far-off days of 2016), I naively asserted that the series shouldn't go past 1959—for some reason at that time the 60s felt like an era Indy just didn't belong in. But, after delay upon delay, I settled for 1962 as the perfect year for the franchise to close off on—that year, Dr. No, the first Bond film, was released, and with the connectivity of the franchises it somehow felt fitting for Indy to chronologically end as 007 began his own cinematic journey. For some reason I think that the latest they'll go is 1964, though I'm sure I might be proven wrong.
