If it wasn't for Indy who'd be your favourite adventurer?

Since you put P.Fogg up there I'll have to also mention Professor Lindenbrock
from "Journey to the Centre of the Earth". I'm a big Jules Verne fan.
Plus, Professor Challenger from "The Lost World"! Conan Doyle did
a couple of stories with him.
Growing up, one of my friends was into Tintin so I read a few. Great stuff!
You would love these 2 bars in Montreal. One is called L'Ile Noire (after the
Tintin book) which is a classy pub that has a few framed prints on the wall.
The other is a Tintin themed cafe/bar that is all decked out with figurines,
models and posters, etc. The interior is painted in comic book colours and
the staff wear costumes! You'd like it.
As a kid though, I really loved Asterix (who wasn't very widely known in
N. America outside of Quebec because of the French culture. Same for
Tintin, I think). So, now it's funny to see, here in Europe, how much of
a pop icon Asterix is. He's everywhere!
P.S. Hey, Paden! Another Lindenbrock fan. Welcome back!
