Goonie: Please, that post is making me excited. I don't wanna give my hopes up for a Goonies II and have them crushed.

I just hope they aren't going to make an annoumcent saying the cast of High School Musical is going to come in and replace the original cast.

This is sacred territory, just like BTTF!:hat:

Edited to add: Here's the page for that special issue of Empire:

By now they've probably kicked around a multitude of MacGuffins: a Lewis and Clark relic? D.B. Cooper's money? An Animal House film shoot relic? Map to a Voodoo Donuts with no wait line?

Here's my pitch: Next generation of kids. Human remains are found under someone's house and secured by the same country clubbers from the first film, now claiming to be 1/64 Tillamook Indian (they have exhaustive research). They claim the land and want to build a casino. The new Astoria museum curator disputes the discovery of another Kennewick Man. So the hunt begins for a rumored Japanese ship which would instead prove Ke Huy Quan's family the only surviving true native people of Astoria.

No news, just Josh Brolin at an 80's costume party with his wife who was born after 1985.
