Just a side note: Lucas digitally changed only one shot in American Graffiti, so this isn't that unusual. The new dvds are from the old 2003 source, but a newer HD master might be at least partly done, even if the blurays don't come out his year. (remember we saw clips of all three in sharp new HD in the Crystal Skull teaser trailer)

I saw it just a little while ago, and yup, it was there. Am hoping somebody watched to record it and post it in here. :)

Yeah, the SCIFI Raiders HD showing had the new shot. It's on the same channel again at 1 PM tomorrow (Sunday). I recorded it but as I don't have the equipment to transfer said recording to PC it's a bit useless....

Okay, I recorded it with my digital camera. I'm uploading it to YouTube now. Excuse the part when I say, "That is different." It was more subtle than I anticipated. I wonder if that's the only change and why it wasn't on the new DVD. Maybe it will wait for the BluRay release.

I just saw the scene on Sci-Fi now. It is pretty cool. I liked it alot. Kinda looked like the tatooine scenes from Star Wars Attack of the Clones.

Finally some proof! It's definitely different; I'm not sure if I like the change or not.

Apparently this is not the only change made. In "Temple", the matte painting where Indy asks Shorty where his razor is is also CGI.

Sorry guys, but that aint a new change. It's been there since the 2004 DVDs came out.

They tweaked a load of things for that.

Then why are my 2007 DVDs still featuring the old shot?

Umm, no. There were no 2004 DVDs, and the 2003 DVDs had no changes except for the removal of the snake's reflection.

Nope wrong.

There were more tweaks than that. They fixed quite a lot of matte lines and regraded footage.

Yes looking closely it is different, the background and the mountains. As a shot it's completely fathful to the original though. It just looks a little more epic.

Just popped my 2003 Raiders DVD in. It looks similar to the new USA/Sci-Fi shot, but the newer shot appears much more cleaner and "perfect," so it's definitely been tweaked. And the camera move just "feels" a little different. Still basically the same shot, like Major West said, but definitely tweaked.

I was watching Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade last night to look for any other changes, but didn't notice any. Must have missed that shot.
