Ohhh How ignorant you are.. I guess, My Carded figures from MEGO Pocket Heroes and 8" figures to Evel Knievel, To Fisher Price Adventure people, to my MASSIVE SUPERHERO ( vintage..Think 1966 Ideal superhero playsets and current think newest MARVEL LEGENDS YELLOW DAREDEVIL ) then my COMPLETE ( AS IN EVERYTHING VINTAGE AND CURRENT ) INDIANA JONES AND STAR WARS Collection makes me a rookie??? Hmmm I wonder why I had to get a 1.1 Million dollar insurrance policy on my toy collection? I have been collecting toys since the old MARX playsets were still being released.

The old Marvel Legends prototypes were from TOYBIZ..HASBRO uses a DIFFERENT Wax for sculpting!! Not Company wide, JUST forthe 3 3/4" SW and INDY line! It's the SAME TEAM!!

you are Sooo sadly wrong to compare a 6" sculpt with a 3 3/4" sculpt.

You really DO not want to argue the toy game with me!! I have toys worth as much as some people's cars. It is WHAT I do to invest! I'm NOT ( I REPEAT, NOT ) bragging.. I just want you to STOP thinking that you are correct in all of your toy postings.. There are some really BRILLIANT toy collectors here who actually work in the hobby. In the larger scales, you lose detail...the smaller scales are alredy limited to the detail that can be added. OHHH, I forgot to mention that I actually OWN Prototypes from ML (toy Biz and HASBRO) and SW, Gi JOE, TRANSFORMERS, MARX 1st shots...On and on....I'm glad you collect, It's just that I invest! :gun: :dead:

Stop acting all butt hurt because someone had the nads to call you out on your offensive, asinine and uncalled for behavior. When I see someone not only using incorrect information but utilizing it to insult others…I’m going to call them out. Some people just don’t know when they’ve been beaten. Learn to stay down. You’re just making more of an ass out of yourself by continuing. Want some cheese with your whine? Not everyone will agree with you! Get over it - and yourself. 424 posts make you a veteran?!? Hardly! I’m an outright noob and I’m aware of this. You act as if I’m to bow down to your collection. Newsflash: They’re toys! If they’re that impressive to you…I suggest you prioritize better. I’ve even blatantly seen you babyishly clash with fellow members before…and I’ve not been here even a week. That gives great insight into your character. Be thankful I’ve given you any respect at all - it’s more then you deserve. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got more important things to do then continue to argue with an obsessive compulsive collector that conforms to the every waking desire of corporate commercialism. Honestly, what are you…a Hasblow rep? So I’m sorry to disappoint - but I‘m ending this. This thread doesn’t revolve around me and you alone - and that’s something I respect.

But by the way, your replies lack any and all wit and intellect. Here’s two cents - buy yourself some originality. You’re generally the type of dimwitted and irrational person that makes me get down on my knees and pray for a nuclear holocaust.

I gonna buy them just becuz there Indy figs. I don't care if they aren't an exact duplicate of Harrison's slightly bigger left eye and one attached earlobe.

I have been seeing stuff that has been making me scream at the top of my lungs for joy. The Chase truck from Raider's, the troop car, the frickin' awesome German motorcycle with sidecar just as I hypothesized:) and a GIANT THUGEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! TOD is getting figs, LC is getting figs, KOTCS is getting figs, everybody wins. INDY IV is going to be HUGE. Little girls, and big, will go see it because of Shia. Then they'll buy the 12" Shia doll and all the Shia posters that are sure to come out. Little boys, those physically and mentally, will see the movie because It's going to be awesome. Then their parents will buy the toys; and there are toys for every age. The whip, Mr. Tater Head, for the youngins; action figs, games for the older kids; deluxe items and send away items for the collectors. It doesn't stop there. After the atomic bomb, that Indy IV will be, kids and probably several adults will dress up like him for Halloween. There will probably be Indy Christmas ornaments and holiday cards. Then rolling into 2009, a full year from now, I hope to see Indy Valentine's Day cards so MaxPhactor can send his love to tnswman. This; this is history.

"This bickering is pointless";)

Anyway...I, for one, am blown away by everything so far...well, except for the FX whip (did I already mention that?).

As far as 3 3/4" stuff, I still like the Jacket Indy, but the working holster is a little large. It's cool that he comes with an interchangable hand! I think the KOTCS Indys both look great, as do the rest of that wave. The deluxe sets are pretty neat, though I am curious as to why Indy with the Ark has the head scarf on? The German Motorcycle is awesome! The vehicles all look great too!

The 12" figures don't really look all that bad, for Hasbro...better than most of their Star Wars line and at least this time they didn't use the old Hall of Fame Joe bodies with the hands that are bigger than their heads! Really digging that Cairo Swordsman! Think I prefer the Indy with whipping action to the talking Indy though. The 12" scale Ark is pretty sweet as well.

The Titaniums were a big surprise! I wasn't too excited about them, but what was shown looks pretty cool. Love how they have Indy dragging behind the Desert Convoy Truck and the paint on it is amazing!

Is it me…or is anyone else seeing a lot of inconsistency here? I’m seeing three different versions of the “same” products. The first pictures to appear of the Crystal Skull figures were completely hideous. The second ones were completely different sculpts. Harrison actually mildly resembled Harrison. And now there is even another set of pictures…and they look different AGAIN!

There appear to be three of the Indy w/Idol figure on display at Toyfair, which could account for the differing pics of him at least:

And what is up with those crates? It looks as if each figure is packaged with one and they are assorted shapes and sizes...I guess each "relic" comes packed inside one. Pretty cool bonus! I wonder if they are plastic or just cardboard? We'll all have an Ark warehouse diorama in no time;)

***EDIT*** Upon further review, it appears that the crates are cardboard...still cool though.

I did find that odd too, but it is common for them not to get all of the accessories correct at Toyfair when setting up the figures. It has happened plenty of times in the past, sending countless Star Wars geeks into a tizzy;) I'd put money on him having a removable hat like the other KOTCS Indy, and they just didn't put it with him when they set up.

This Cemetry Warrior has the mask of Agamemnon as a bonus item

Very weird. This mask was found by Heinrich Schliemann at the remains of Troy.

I didn't have time to read every post in this thread, so someone stop me if this has already been discussed, but looks like the delux indy's( Indy with idol on pedestal and indy with pit) connect to make part of opening scene from raiders. will there perhaps be more of these delux figures? does this mean we're never getting a "raiders opening" playset?

Great!!

Just when I said I'd be passing over the Hasbro line, they release pics of the Titanium collection, the 3 3/4" vehicles, a pretty impressive 12" Arab swordsman, and a giant Thuggee guard figure indicating a top notch TOD line!
Thanks a lot Hasbro! Way to take my money!

OK, I won't claim these look like crap or not yet, because as said they're prototypes. But don't for a minute try to tell us Hasbro hasn't let us down with sculpts/paint apps! I am hoping these are up to par with the Vintage Original Trilogy SW figs. I prefer super articulation and attention to face sculpts versus silly action figures and the wrong accessories (who here doesn't?). Some of these pics look good, some look bad. I'll reserve my judgement on them when I buy some.

ToD is getting made. I'm a happy collector! The German on the bike looks amazing, and I'm excited for all of those KotCS guys. They look pretty good. Articulation seems to be big on all of these things! I'll be very selective on the deluxe, but so far, it looks like I'm gonna end up getting most of the regular ones depending on their quality.

It's easy to make claims over the internet. My point is that you?re making assumptions that these will be amazing when on the shelves. You don?t know that. Plus, isn?t that subjective? It?s all in the eye of the beholder. I think the Sideshow Indiana Jones doll doesn?t look a thing like Harrison Ford - literally everyone else present loved it. More power to them. Myself, I?ll pass big-time! It?s not my cup of tea. What?s the problem? There shouldn?t be one! And when was I comparing the smaller scale figures to 6'' figures? I'm sorry, I was under the assumption you could read. The truth is that prototypes are NOT always of lesser quality then the final product. This is what I wrote - not comparing two other toy lines. I apologize if that was beyond your ability to comprehend. Though, I must admit, I am awed by your vital knowledge of plastics utilized in action figures. There is no logical way that you could say these will or won?t come out superior to these photo examples of what?s to come. I can down and outright prove your statements are false - even with another Hasbro toy line too! And you condemning anyone that doesn?t have your judgment clearly displays your apparent lack of maturity. Stop being so argumentatively opinionated and let people have their say. There is nothing foolish about another?s alternate view - so why not stop the belittling comments and act like a civil grown up? Is that too much to ask?

And arguing with you?well?you make it pretty easy. Stop flattering yourself.

And who are you again? Hmmm, Not the person that aleady has some indy Hasbro toys in-hand...Nope...I think that would be ME!

anyway thanls for introducing yourself to us.. Now we know who to avoid. Lot's of new people coming in and making like they are the end-all-be-all indy fans and collectors.

so, At least we know :) :gun: :dead: (y)
