totally agree. i don't think harrison would really "work" on colbert, but with john stewart... that could happen. most likely will.

I'd prefer they appear on a show I'd actually like to watch.

Seriously, just because there's no press conference, I don't see why we should expect that none of the stars, Harrison and Shia especially, maybe even Kate (she was on The Tonight Show back in October), won't be turning up on the late night shows like they do for any other movie.

It would be great to see any of the cast members on the Colbert Report or The Daily Show.

Except this time, right before Conan shows the clip, Ford pulls out a whip a chases Conan across the stage. Ford then pulls the Chuck Norris lever, which summons Chuck Norris. As a result, no clips of the Star Wars Holiday Special are ever shown again on Late Night or ABC.

Looks like Jonathon Ross is going to have to interview a cardboard cut out of Ford. There's more chance of a sasquatch rampaging through the BBC than Ford coming to Britain on the promotion trail.

Usually when a film doesn't get the advance screening it means the film is garbage . . . but in this case I assume it also has something to do with the Age of the cast.

With the buzz generated for this film, it's "Mission Accomplished" from a marketing point-of-view based on just the internet content and the Vanity Fair spread. Nothing good can come of the cast doing the interview circuit. To the contrary, a major fiasco could result over something the studio can't control, like a member of the aged cast putting in an appearance where he/she (gasp!) actually looks his/her age.

Shia should do the hard work now.
Blanchett may be a "little" pregnant by now.

And Ford... it could work if he goes with company. Let's say Ray Winstone or Karen Allen. Or Obama.

I like Colbert, but putting Ford on that show would feel too exploitative. I don't think Ford likes doing interviews and stuff anyways, so I'd rather they didn't bother him.
