I would like to make it as low as possible but my beaver hats is the lowest out there and the labor is the same if not more with rabbit felt.

I just blocked a rabbit hat on one of my test blocks ( a block that I'm always tweaking). This way it wont take anyone slot for me to test a felt or whatever I want to try out. I will keep everyone posted right here.

So how much are you offering for your hat. I understand you can't go too low but keep us posted in terms of pricing. And pictures would be nice.

I first have to get the process down to get a good finish like I do with the beaver hats. 2nd I need to see how many hours in labor it takes before I can set a price. Like I stated before. I don't know of any other handmade pure beaver hat with a price tag as low as mine. I will try and do the same.

I'm sure the prices on the rabbit hats will be just fine. and i'm still amazed that you're able to sell pure beaver hats for such a low price. if it wouldn't have been for you, i don't think i would have ever been able to afford a pure beaver fedora. I would have always had to settle for the good enough, but not exactly what i really want kind of hats.

especially with owning and running a horseranch, its most of the time a royal pain just to make ends meet. so yea and stuff, thanks for making it possible for me to have the kind of hat i have always wanted.

Just trying to follow in the foot steps of one of my favorite people Steve Delk of Adventurebilt hats. He came around and made the best Raiders fedora in pure beaver and did it at a price that was more in reach for people. I'm very thankful to know him, have his support, help and can call him a friend.

I pounced the rabbit test hat. I'm making this one a "marlo." My test block or should I say one of my test blocks ( I have 3 going right now). This one is a round oval block in my size. All my test hats are in my size. It's the only way I can get a hat from myself.

The pounce job came out great. I'm very happy with it. Part of the problem was how much time I had to pounce rabbit felt to get it to the point that I was happy.

It's sitting and drying from the new water protections that I'm using. After that I can post some pics of it but it won't have any parts sewn in or bashed. I can't put one of my pure beaver sweatbands in a rabbit hat :-k . I will be waiting for my new sweatbands before I finish this hat.

As for price. I'm not going to state a price just right now because I won't to post a price with some photo's of the hat to go with it.

It will be less than what I'm asking for my pure beaver hats.

I have about 12 bottlers of B & L product if anyone is interested. It is 16 dollars a bottle and if used on just one hat should last you a couple of years. Thats not including shipping. Ounce there gone they are gone.

I will be using a 2 different water protection on my hats. One I will use on the hat when it is being made and another that I will provide for customers who would want to purchase some for the life of there hat.

I was trying to buy B & L product to sell or even try buying the company but the women who owns it is just not focused on this side of her business. I would love to have sold this product or even own it but it's not going to happen. I did find another that I think will work out and be better than any other product that you could buy and be safe to ship. I still have to work out the details

I' still working on boxes and it look like it's just a matter of time ( and money).

hat stands and hat jacks will take a bit more time to get a handle on.
